Can't get into my original account

Hello all! Until yesterday, I could access my original account "MafuMafu", but when the site change happened, I couldn't log in! I triple checked to see if I wrote my password wrong, but I didn't. Is there anything I could do?

Hi. Firstly - Thank you for coming back. The old forum is still available in archive form and there is an option to LINK YOUR ACCOUNT.
Ive just allowed it in the admin - you are now linked! :)😀

But how do I get to the LINK YOUR ACCOUNT option?

There's a button on your profile page that's says "Request profile link".

But Andrew has said that he has already linked it for you, so you shouldn't need to do anything.

I'm still currently trying to get my head around the changes myself!

I was a member of the old forum as "Mataeus" with my Voodoo Vince avatar. I've requested a profile link, I just wondered what I need to do to prove my identity or whatever? 🥚

I can’t get into my original account either(Sparkles 49). I pressed the request link button but nothing seems to have happened. It seems the only way to get on this site is to create an account so do I now have two accounts and what happens to all the data and status stuff on my original account. I’ really confused.

I couldn't either, so I created a new one. Also, I can't get onto the help threads. What is going on?

To clarify - the old account linking is just to accociate your NEW account with the old one. The old forum is now an archive which can be searched.
The NEW account is for you to explore this new community - it will be with you to log your game progress, for you to upload to the community, for you to be able to post your adventures.
All submissions will be flagged on our Hi-Tech Admin system and we will then approve - or not depending on what you lovely people send us. :)

Andrew, what have you done? I have no idea how to search this new site for my old games or my latest game which Adam tells me is marked 'adult', but I cannot find any reference to adult games anywhere. I've only just managed to logon as a new user with a new password (but managed to keep my old name of Grandad). Grateful for a reply that helps non technical people who don't understand what Hi-tech admin system means. Sorry for being a bit of an idiot, but I really don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing.

Hi Grandad. I used to be Sparkles but I’m not allowed to be now. More than utterly miffed. Thank you for a brand new game and I have at least managed to navigate myself to the download button 😂. Off to give it a go now.

I think my account(s) just linked automatically...because I used the same name? Or did someone do it for me (thanks if so).
I appreciate that change can be tough... but I fully expect that this new site was probably needed to keep the community going and growing, so thanks to all the hard work I'm sure it took, and I'm looking forward to realising the benefits... playing DizzyAge games straight away through the browser obviously being a huge big plus right off the back.

Doodle.. please tell me what happened when you tried to sign as Sparkles?

@Doodle - You can actually change your display name to Sparkles if you wanted to.
By going to 'My Yolkfolk', there's a link in the footer, then scroll down and you'll find a button to edit your profile.

I'll be honest, I'm still trying to get to grips with the changes myself.

@OO7Samurai - That was me that linked your account automatically.

More features are being added as we speak.

@Andrew Hi Andrew. When I tried to log in as Sparkles 49 my user name and password were not recognised so I created a new account. Would like to have kept Sparkles just for continuity but as it seems this is happening to everyone else I don’t feel so bad!!!

@Doodle you CAN sign up as your previous account and just link it.

Hi there I have created a new profile but cant see a "request link to old profile" button?

It also wont let me choose my old profile pic, it is a jpg file...

@mAdjAckJ You have to go to Members and find your old one, and click "Request Link". I think that should work.

I’ve run into the same problem—I can’t log in to the site with my username (Lightning).
I read that I need to go to the "Members" section and click the "Request Link" button.
I went there, but I didn't see that button. I had to create a new account. Could you tell me how to link my new account to the old one?
