I have this cup that looks like the old retro one, but I know people have been making updated copies of it on eBay although this one was listed as being an original retro version. I'm not sure though, is there a way to tell the difference, like was there a Codemasters logo at the bottom of the original retro version or something like that? From what I can see the ink is far too saturate and too smooth looking and screams "modern technology" rather than 1980's technology, but there are some slight smudges around some of the characters.

I never owed any of that merch, but I was lucky enough to see the one Andrew owns when we went to Cambridge in 2015.
I haven't seen what the ones on eBay look like, but the photos I took of Andrew's cup is the original.

Yeah, that one is not official. Looks more like a remake.
And the logo comes from the Wikipedia article.

Thank you for checking this on me. Yeah that logo was certainly a giveaway but I had to be sure. There's a lot of other notable things that are different too once you put them side-by-side It's a nice shoutout to the original but now I don't feel so bad in using it as a coffee mug rather than leaving it sitting on a shelf.
