Collecting Dizzy titles on the Spectrum

I am in the process of collecting up all the Dizzy releases for the Spectrum. I would prefer to have the original releases of all the titles and not subsequent reissues. The problem is that any subsequent reissues of the Dizzy titles had virtually identical inlays so it is sometimes very difficult to tell. One possible way is by cassette colour. For example, Fantasy World Dizzy releases for the Spectrum came with three different cassette tape colours:- white, black, or clear. I recall originally buying Fantasy World Dizzy on or about the week of its release - that copy had a white cassette. The inlay carried advertisements for two other Codies titles, MotoX and Mig-29. However, I recently discovered that another issue of the title with a clear cassette has advertisements for Dizzy and Treasure Island Dizzy. There are differences across some of the other Dizzy titles as well, mostly with cassette colour. I have the impression that Codemasters started using clear cassette tapes towards the end of the Spectrum's life but I could be wrong.

Are there any hardcore Dizzy collectors out there who is able to shed any light on this?

The only Dizzy I ever across that had a clear/see through cassette was Fast Food, Fantasy World and the Cartoon Collection, the following games after that were mostly black, like this.

Thanks for that link, that's helpful. Interestingly there are no scans for the Spectrum issues of Spellbound Dizzy and Prince of the Yolkfolk - presumably because they're relatively hard to find. I would add that Treasure Island Dizzy and Kwik Snax were also released with see-through cassettes. Interestingly there is a copy of the first Dizzy title on ebay at the moment with a grey cassette/white label. I think you're right though that every cassette was black from Magicland Dizzy on.

I'm providing a scan of Spellbound to Dizzy Zone as soon as Pasta Baby (pet-name for my daughter) stops hogging the scanner.

Incidentally, I recieved an Amstrad Treasure Island Dizzy today on a white tape. When I had it back in the day, it was a black tape..
