It was stupid not to think about the handkerchief immediately... earlier I tried giving that boy the blanket and now I must have forgotten about him... Anyway now I have passed the dragon, but I don't know what to give to the bear... I tried gruel and bee sting, but no result... maybe a fish? How can I get the wallet back? I guess I'm far behind in this part, because so far I have bought nothing... Maybe I should try placing somke item on the grave? However, I just don't remember what was written on the tombstones... The conversation reminder is a great feature, I always forgot some important points (it's a pity it only seems to store the most recent conversations) - however, nothing reminds of other text boxes...
OK, I'm past the bear, but still I don't know how to solve some puzzles I probably should long have solved... - shopkeeper (in the shop, his gambling habit, making him realise his granddaughter is dead - all three not solved) - Grand Dizzy (buying a drink for him) - Dora (I will probably need something else to catch the goldfish for her - the net was too large and now it's gone anyway) - Dylan - the haunted man and the ghost - I will surely need the wallet back... I'll keep looking for solutions, but help will be appreciated...
Update: I solved most of the puzzles mentioned above. The ones that are left are: shopkeeper (all three) and Dylan. Items left: jug of water (used once), wallet (used once), heavy crate and I guess that's all. 33 stars (btw, I just can't find any star behind the flowers in the waterfall area... I realise there are invisible platforms there, anyway either there the flowers can't be picked up or I can't get to stand next to some other patch.
You have mentioned one problem and the very item you need to solve it, the most obvious object to solve it as well, but you will need to do it at a certain time - now maybe?
You can also give the jug of water to a thirsty character for a few points - hmmm maybe thats a hint to the above as well?
You will have been on the platform to pick the flowers, but dont worry about that yet, you may find you get some assistance to find the remaining stars.
I really don't know what you mean... The bar is open, the shopkeeper is there, but I can't use any item on him. I have already bought a drink for Grand Dizzy.

Update: OK, I almost solved this part myself and now I only have to find all stars. I went to the waterfalls to check how the metal detector works and now I know which flowers I have to pick up - but I have completely no idea how to stand next to them. I can't find any other invisible platform when jumping there.
The platform is directly below them - you just need to stand on the left side of it - you can see the platforms if you look closely, they are a slightly different colour
Despite having walked around the whole area with the metal detector, I can't find the last star. Some more cleverly hidden ones I have already found: - THAT one behind the flowers; - behind the leaves: close to the waterfalls, in the large tree and at the lake; - two behind the counters; - in the roof; - behind the frog; - two behind boulders; - at the base of the clock tower. You can't get into the small lake at the top of the waterfalls, do you?
I have already found it. The last one was hidden under a log close to the bar. It may be that I never walked past this place with the metal detector because I was busy checking out the upper branches, but on the other hand places of this kind always look "suspicious" to me, so I usually check them out quite early... I must have simply forgotten about this one.
I've now uploaded the walkthrough and Star Locations to dizzystories. The map will follow in due course, but I need to re-do it, as the last 'map' I did for it was when it had rather less detail than the finished game {dizzy}:lookup:
I'm loving this game but am a little stuck. I read that you have to use the fruit bats to get up the waterfall but I'm dropping fruit near them and it isn't having any effect. Any hints you can give me?
