YES! is the short answer to your question. When I played through all 4 Galleons, I found about 3 or 4 instances where that happened (usually because key 4 was marked in the map as key 5, or something similar). Obviously I fixed them all in the release version.

All is not lost however. Before you download the release version, save your current data file and dizzy.ini file (the configuration settings file), and replace the ones you download with those two current files. That should allow you to carry on with Galleon 2.

Hi Jamie, yes only to be expected really, I should of downloaded official release to be on safe side, anyway ive done that now so all should be ok again {yolkfolk}:thumb:

Right had a right bash at the 2nd Galleon...& weve got the even more dreaded red and green screen now. Takes eons to line up but got through it once.

That screen with the pirate right behind the door is a bugger to get to. Even trying the other way I had another pirate behind the door on one of the other screens to get there so just keep losing lives. Not really learnt the routes as I kept going in circles for a bit. Once you hit a pirate behind a door you have to find an alternative route to try move the pirate, exit and try find way back so you can enter but i'm not working out where im going lol & you enter and too late.

Then on best run going great guns got up to 112 treasures and my pc crashed (only 1 hr 38 mins) {yolkfolk}:sob:

Every so often playing dizzy games my pc just crashes for no reason, was doing it when making SWD.

Will have another go another day now (had my hours worth), it aint half a challenge, need to recover lol...

strangely, I don't think that's the hardest Hold on that galleon. Have you seen the blue screen with multi-colour lifts yet? :wink:

I think ive seen that on my last run, is it the one where you have rising platform to get to the disappearing platform that then has a left - right moving platform from it, like a 3 way movement. I think I cleared it except I didn't attempt that bit of the hold, had the no.3 key I think on the other side if you could negotiate there & back for use on the door with the treasure behind. Would have had to come back & try it had I survived lol.

I was on last life anyway so even though it crashed I probably wouldn't of cleared it.

People have completed Galleon 2, so it's do-able. As I said in the first post, you wouldn't want it too easy would you? :tongue:

I did pretty well the other night while i was listing to the cricket all night/morning during a quite period but fell off a platform after a surprise wkt. LOL

I'm assuming you mean the dreaded green & red screen I referred to with all the moving platforms, it is difficult no doubt, you won't be glad to hear that's where the key is as well, I was dreading messing up on my last life retrieving it once I got the treasures.

The middle platforms aren't too bad, I managed to do them sort of okish, it's the top one and bottom one which I lost lots of lives on, the bottom one once your on it for the return you can get near the right edge and the one moving up will catch you a bit when the timing is right which sort of helped me to get back across. Also riding up and down get as near the left edge as you can when preparing to get to the moving left-right one you need to without being too much on the edge the others catch and lifts you a little off the platform as you die as I did many times (never mind trying to time the 'move' right).

Once ive had many attempts and run throughs and got more used to the holds, the hardest ones I try to get through at earliest opportunity, as is frustrating to do so well like 100 -110 then lose all lives each time on the hardest ones.

Just had a couple of goes on Galleon 3 so far so not seen which is the dreaded screen on this one {yolkfolk}:meh:

It's a red one. You'll know it when you see it :wink: do doors in this order to get to it: Middle, Top, Middle.

chlodnik229, to get to the one you're meaning quickly, do the doors in this order: Top, Bottom.
