Lost Temple Dizzy (HELP THREAD)

Hi everyone, am very jealous of all the finishers! Was just wondering if anyone had any more hints of the more obscure locations of the pieces of treasure? I’ve cured all the yolkfolk, and at the moment have 78 pieces, (first time I played the game through, I got to 77 at the end, wondering if I have to play it twice more, to get 79 and then finally 80!!!) I really feel like I’ve tried everywhere, was even quite proud of finding what I thought were a few very hidden ones! behind skeleton’s eye socket in the ice room, hidden wall in fire shrine, the well, behind lamp jumping over lava streams etc.. and I’ve given Denzil back his bling! Someone mentioned behind a porthole on the ship, not sure I have that, do you need to use/have something to get it? Anyway, I realise with a game so large, it’s almost impossible to know which ones I’ve already found, was just wondering if anyone could offer any suggestions of places it’s easy to overlook. This game was so well designed and great, I need to properly see it out! FANTASTIC game btw! Thanks a lot all.

You don't need to use anything to get the one behind the porthole, just action over the window. These are some of the ones where you do need to "do" things or use objects:
Under the rats nest
by digging under the sandpit in air shrine
in the worn out boot by actioning it a few times
in the bit behind the whirring blades - there is a hint for this somewhere earlier in the thread
there are 3 in the pearl making machine

There aren't really any that are very sneaky, just have to action all items as usual (which it sounds like you do if you managed to finish with 77 first time round, I think I probably only had about 70 and thought I was doing well!!) but I agree it's hard to know at this stage in such a large game. I actually started again, mainly because I loved the game and wanted to play it through but also after the post from Queex that said there were 10 in each "area" so I made a list as I went along!!! It never feels like you've finished until you've got all the coins/treasures etc. even though everyone is free/cured/rescued etc...!

Thanks everyone for the coin tips! Am now a proud member of the finishers club, finally got the last coin on the little cloud to the right of the yolkfolk village, sooo relieved when I saw it! If I guess rightly what the problem is, you need to look around the Air Shrine for another room with a coloured ball in it- a way previously closed should now be open.

cheers mate got it now. seen the boulder and didnt think to move it :blush:

just need to work out how to get the ice boots. whynotsmile seemed to get them pretty quicky. any hints gratefully recived.
tried the hammer,spade and crowbar on the rubble but to no avail

Can anyone help me to get out of the Air Shrine it seems im stuck in there and cant get out at all. {yolkfolk}:tired:
Ive spent days in the same room and im getting claustrophobic :cry: I can see 2 wheels if i jump along the top and can reach the 1 at mysterious valve but i cant do anything with it because i dont have the spanner.
So obviously i have to drop down and get the spanner 1st but then when i do im locked in :surprise:

Ive had a look at the walkthrough for the Air Shrine section but its not making things easier Drop down to the bottom and pick up the Spanner from The Tomb. Go up from that room and use the spanner on the wheel.

Okay that takes you to chance of showers There are three other wheels you use the Spanner on, one for each direction from A Cryptic Device. You need to use the Emergency Escape Switch to get up to it initially. The one on the left you need to drop down from Vertiginous Shelf, the other two should be easy to find.

Okay done cryptic device and gone left to vertiginous shelf but right from cryptic device takes you chance of showers again {dizzy}:huh: the other two should be easy to findNot for a dumbo like me theyre not and i dont really understand what the emergency escape switch is doing other than resetting the clouds so you can get back up to cryptic device

If you follow the clouds right and up from Cryptic Device, you'll end up back near the entrance to the shrine- but you need to make sure the Device is set right first...

Ive turned wheels and set switches all over the place and over and over again but im still not getting any clouds on the right of the device that take meto anywhere else other than chance of showers.
Maybe i need to be walked through it properly {yolkfolk}:crazy: or just give up all together.
No 1 else seems to have had much trouble with this room so why cant i do it. :cross: I managed all the others with no help and very few problems

Okay i know you think i am incredibly stupid :roll: but i keep saying there are NO clouds or anywhere to land on right of cryptic device.

Step 1 - drop down to get spanner
Step 2 - go up from tomb and do valve at chance of showers (as in walkthrough) after which you cannot reach cryptic device so
Step 3 - flick switch at emergency escape and go up to cryptic device
Step 4 - go left to vertiginous shelf and do valve there after which you cannot reach cryptic device so do emergency switch again

Step 5 - go up to cryptic device and jump right - NOTHING except chance of showers again and no way of getting higher or out
OR
Step 5 - go up to cryptic device, do valve and jump right - NOTHING except chance of showers again and no way of getting higher or out

OR

Miss out Step 4 and do either of the Step 5s - surprise surprise what happens - NOTHING except chance of showers again and no way of getting higher or out
