Amstrad version - Utterly flummoxed!!

Boy am I ever glad to find this community!!!

Hi folks, I discovered a decent Amstrad emulator and decided, after 20 or so years to finally return to the first game I ever played and have another crack at completing it.

As an 8 year old, I really struggled, I never got very far in the first Dizzy game. Now however, I feel I've done a lot better and feel happy with my progress so far without a guide (mostly because I cannot find one!!!)

Now, I'm stuck.

I've frozen the lake, got the amulet of protection, I've found a leprechaun wig, vampire feather dux and clouds' silver lining. They've all gone into the couldron (Luverly!) The potion bottle just has a laugh with me and bounces up and down on it. Frankly, I cannot find any other way to proceed in the game.

I've uncovered the passage under the graveyard using the emerald, I've explored the mushroom cave and all this time avoided setting off the game destroying pit trap.

Can anyone help? Pretty pretty please?

You need four ingredients to complete the potion. Try looking round Zaks' castle.

Ahh therein lies the problem. I couldn't get into the castle, I'm assuming that's the drawbridge past the graveyard. I can't find anything to make it lower. :sad:

The drawbridge is just a bit stiff...

"The Drawbridge is a bit stiff" is a beaut of a clue... Think back at other objects you may have found but have not yet used. Like maybe ... Nah! I let you work it out....
