when i first got a pc and use to run dos games the Commander keen series was a favorite and the early duke nukem and Wolfenstein.
i had the new Zealand story.. i remember it had a rather happy little theme tune. the original ghost busters was great.. but the 2nd was really difficult, i did have the real ghostbusters game which was fun.
Frankenstein, fall of the house of usher and the Munsters were ones i tried and tried but failed miserably.
there were a few others i can't remember the names of which i really enjoyed.. might have to look them but it would take forever.
oh and Trapdoor... :teethy:

Target Renegade, is probably the greatest beat scrolling beat em up on any 8-bit computer. Popeye, (the one with the huge colorful sprites)great game never finished it though. Chuckie egg, still plays as amazing as it used to. those are only a few that pop in to my head at the moment.
Target Renegade is superb. Also, on the 64 I loved Creatures, Creatures II: Torture Trouble, Mayhem in Monsterland, the 'gold box' AD&D RPG's, Impossible Mission, Rescue on Fractalus, Stunt Car Racer, Badlands, Road War Europa, Fiendish Freddy's Big Top of Fun, Head Over Heels, Paradroid, Double Dragon 2, Werewolves of London, Dan Dare (The original comic book adventure, not the silly shoot 'em up), World Games, Alternative World Games, Boulderdash and about a million others and about a million text adventures :teethy:
My favourite Speccy game is Chubby Gristle! Great fun.
I still play Transport Tycoon Deluxe in it's OpenTTD format. Multiplayer is still really, really popular and there's loads of people on the servers.
Oh no. Oh, Holy Lords of Death. It's just been brought to my attention that Blitz Games were responsible for THAT trio of horrendously bad Xbox 'games' sold in the States by Burger King. Shit-on-a-stick.
Thing on a Spring Lazarian Freak Factory Mr. Freeze Pitfall Murray Mouse: Super Cop Wild West Seymour Tilt Vampire Slightly Magic Trapdoor Hideous Bill and the Gi-Gants Curse of Sherwood Leaderboard Kikstart 2 Yie Ar Kung Fu
My favourite game is probably Broken Sword which I played on the PS1 where the loading screens are a nightmare!
Some great games there... You can pick Broken Sword 1+2 up for PC on the 'Sold Out' label for a fiver. They run straight out of the box, no DOS or SCUMM configuring. No loading times AT ALL on modern PC's, and of course decent mouse control!
Yeah I've got 1-3 on PC. I've played through them loads of times. Great games and you learn things as well! I bought the 4th but it didn't run so I gave it away. I'll get to it one day. This makes me want to play it again. I can remember having a massive problem with the goat in Lochmarne. That took me aaaaages.
I bought the 4th but it didn't run so I gave it away. I don't know if you mean the game wouldn't run because of specs or because of issues? There's a huuuuge bug in the fourth game where it will only run if you are running one processor / core. So if you have multicore, go to start menu > accessories > right-click CMD > run as administrator (or, if you already have administrator privileges on the PC which, if it's your own computer I suspect you do, simply press Windows key + 'R' and type in CMD) Then enter the following in the command window:
bcdedit /set onecpu on
then reboot. Game should work fine now. To get your multicore back, replace the word 'on' in the above code with 'off', then reboot. Sorry if you already know all of this, but it's the only way to get BS4 to work on multicore PC's, just trying to help {yolkfolk}:delight:
Ah man... It works perfectly with this simple fix, too. I know loads of people that took it back to the shop saying the game wouldn't run, the burn must be screwed, so on and so forth... Such a shame  If only they'd have tested it on multicore before releasing, and put the fix in the readme file.
Incidentally, finished Broken Sword 2 again the other night :teethy:
