delta's forthcoming Games

It does look a lot better but I have to agree with others that it still looks like part of the game map. Maybe if the colour under the hut was the same colour as the rest of the 'frame' it would give more of an impression of being separate.

hmmm i need something in the middle as a kind of 'focal point'. also, the idea is that the score will go in the middle of it (stretching from the middle of one window to the middle of the other window).

i just edited the picture. the game still has the 2nd HUD.

Yet that works much better.

it all looks good to me jamie, but then i know nothing technical about hud or maps and such, but the second picture looked better [only noticed different coloured fencing] than the first and noticed no difference between the second and third, i know this'll be helpful to you he he he really looking forward to this one {yolkfolk}:clap:

haha the difference is in the HUD (the bit above the gameplay area), there is no difference in the game map :tongue:

ok, i thought i'd post the following two screenshots of the same screen in IID, mainly to tease y'all! :tongue: but also partly to show that i haven't stopped trying to do new things with DizzyAGE. And this is just one of the innovations that will be in IID.

in fact, there are so many that i may not have time to fit them all in. I'd go so far as to say that i'm quite concerned about actually meeting the deadline for the compo at all...!

So do we gain any gold pieces for doing certain tasks in the game or are you sticking to the classic Dizzy tradition by leaving coins scattered throughout the game?

i've now sorted out all the little niggles with that feature, so i can move on. when i get time to!

oh and adz, it's sort of a bit of both, but not really in the way you're thinking :tongue:

i'm actually really really concerned that this game isn't going to be finished in time for the easter comp.

There is just so much to do in it, and so many new things to code. Added to that i have very little free time available now to spend doing it, and that is what is concerning me.

i'll keep y'all updated anyway. i've nearly finished thinking up all the puzzles. :smile:

oh that would be a shame jamie, not just for us but for all the hard work you put in on your games, anyway in this economic climate its good that your busy, better that way than the other. although really disappointing for you maybe not being ready for the competiton at least we'd still have something to look forward to - thanks for some great games so far {yolkfolk}:clap:

I'm sure Jamie will have it ready in time.
And there's always the possibility to release a first act :smile:
Though it took me quite a while to get back and finished it.
