Thanks for the suggestions Meph. I've found 2 in the water already, and have had a go at checking behind objects. Is there maybe a room I haven't found using spade or pickaxe?

i don't know where you live, but did you ever play conkers at school?
i think i used the pickaxe twice but if you only need one more coal i don't think its needed anymore.. but neither the pickaxe or spade will open any hidden rooms.

True, I found a hidden room entrance in the Flooded Mine Shaft leading to the homepage! And that's what gets me, I've been so thorough and yet I still can't find it loL!

well i was thinking cats normally go for small rats and mice.. so a large rat might appreciate the small cat.. lol didn't think it was going to be as simple as it was,
Only Just started the game earlier this afternoon but was making pretty good progress I thought seeing as just started & got up to 18 Coals, reading the threads I got one from the tree that was mentioned using the item required so im on 19 coals but well and truly stuck finding the last one. I seem to have all the ones mentioned. Ive spent much more time looking for the last one than ive spent on the rest of the game up this point & have the feeling that could be it. Ive gone through the screens time and time again checking everything but no avail.
I got the crowbar which I know where to use (but no truck to empty as yet), truck brakes, talisman, baby bottle, whistle, bucket of water, rotten torch handle, pickaxe (used twice), spade (used once), woodcutters axe.
By fluke I got rid of the wheel item, (I assume that for points only if im right).
Have I just missed it somewhere or is there another puzzle/screen I not got to yet. I done the hard hat, the ghosts, the dark force puzzles, the dynamite etc....so I thinking the next puzzle is the 20 coals to the train.
Somehow I think I be waiting for the official 'where to find the coals' help spoilers as I aint going find this last one

Well ive got the piece of coal under the water, cant swim yet, assume you need an item for that later. Not got much time either to be playing at the moment either :sad:
I now have 38 gems, I opened up the grave, used 3 items in there and got a gem :smile: Only 2 left now!
