Post by xelanoimis » Mon Feb 03, 2014 5:47 pm

DizzyAGE Easter Competition 2014 is ON

Image

This is the 9th edition of the competition and with your help and a bit of luck we'll keep the line going.

As usual on May 1st, we start voting and on July 1st we see the winners.
If you need and extra month for your "almost ready" game - let me know and I can shift it with one month, like I did last year.

Any entries since the last competition are welcomed and again you can have more than one entry, scored individually.

Please announce your entries in this thread and email me about it too.

Good luck to everyone!
Alex

The first listed prize is £70 offered by Trz's Team who won it last year but, because of limited PayPal support in their country, I will deliver the prize from my PayPal account to the winner who chooses it :)

I Have every intention of being part of it this year, but I gotta get cracking.
I certainly hope I can make the deadline.

With a bit of luck i'll enter "Crystal Maze Dizzy" which is based on the tv series.

Alex, I've noticed that you don't have The Sisterhood (and Dizzy goes to Khimki) added on the DizzyAGE website yet.

I'm not sure but I think Grandad said that he'll be entering The Sisterhood into this year's compo.

"Dizzy goes to Khimki" doesn't participate in competition. Game absolutely small, and only in Russian. It to me gift.

All right,
I've uploaded The Sisterhood and entered it in the competition.
Also I've updated the prizes page :) Thanks Steve!
Let me know if I missed anything else.

One problem though:

The competition.php page has an issue with the voting system. Seems it reports some errors when including the scripts for connection to yolkfolk login. Peter fixed this sort of issue like 2 years ago. For now I have the line commented (// include "../site/api/members.php"; ) but soon we'll have to use it for voting. If someone in charge of the forums/code could have a look, would be great.

Thanks!

The chances of being ready by May 1st are sadly very slim.
I'm quite pleased iv'e been able to copy some of the shows puzzles, but it's surprising how long it takes to get one room coded, so many numbers and variables is just a bit slow going, had a break from it last week to think of a few more puzzles. I've completed the 'medieval zone' rooms including mumsey who'll as always will have a few questions to ask ;) want to add a few fun bits and bobs and if i get time might add another room or two. But i'm about to start 'tree house zone' which is my substitute for the shows Aztec zone.
