Indeed looks great!
And I see my old pirate mate is on to something in that bar. I hope there's lot of pirate talk :)

I, too, just love all these effects with light in Dizzy AGE games (which theoretically allows just poor graphics, no professional background...). And Colin's previous game was also amazing. However, I didn't like the mine cart screenshot. It doesn't suit the rest of the game and - most importantly - in comparison to this screenshot (of PC origin) the rest of the graphics seems worse than it is. Maybe transforming it to "Spectrum-like" graphics would work better?
Generally in my opinion: either "oldschool" graphics or graphics in style of original PC Dizzy, but a combination of both doesn't work too well.

Wow - Looks immense. I'm more than happy to test - NOTE TO ALL DEVS: I'm always up for testing :v2_dizzy_yahoo:
My feedback is sincere and detailed, as Grandad will hopefully testify from his first adventure, Daisy Goes Solo. :dizzy_cool:

Oh yes, Mataeus was one of a few people who tested my first game and gave me lots of useful advice in a friendly manner, which is what all first time developers need as they are never sure if their 'little baby' is any good or just a big pile of poo.

Personally I don't have a problem with mixing graphical styles in a game as my main concern is whether I'm enjoying the game. I might go 'wow' when I see a particularly well drawn piece of scenery, but won't say 'pants' if I'm viewing a basic speccie scene.

I'm wondering more whether Colin has included a monkey or two in this game?

Shame, cos I've got a well thumbed map of the mine cart ride in fantastic dizzy although I still had to keep pausing the game to make sure I went on the correct track.
