The remixed Dizzy tunes thread

Post by Adz.M » Fri Apr 18, 2008 4:04 pm

Thought it be best to start fresh and post about Dizzy's remixes and comment on the remixes already on Yolkfolk.com.

I found a mix of one of the well known Fantastic Dizzy tunes on YouTube quite recently.

Ah good timing, this thread: I am currently working on a Dizzy mix containing samples from Charley by the Prodigy.

I have recently broken my toe :v2_dizzy_crazy: , so have more siting around time :v2_dizzy_clapping:

I had been planning to do a new mix for a while now, but this has finally given me time to make a start.

Somebody on YouTube called ChuckBleedinNorris recently put up a SID mix of the 16-bit Fantasy World Dizzy tune. (The music starts at 0:25)

I found another mix of Spellbound today, this one by Lord Nikon. :)

And that Fantasy World SID mix by ChuckBleedinNorris that's on one of the videos above is available to download in xm format, you need MODplug tracker to play it.

There's a very, very good mix of Dizzy The Adventurer or the Spectrum Magicland Dizzy title theme over at Overclocked Remix.

http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01367/

There's a YouTube version of it, but I can't figure out how to embed it. Anyway, I absolutely love it!

We already have this on the site, it is a good track. :)

Well
Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy,
were out searching for Pogie their pet
When they discovered a secret way,
to enter Zak's old castle which is quite clich?

But
Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy,
decided to go and have a look
In the tower with a spinning thing,
which made Daisy fall asleep after getting a little sting

Dizzy and Daisy
Sitting together in a tree
But how were they supposed to know
What the evil wizard's crystal show

Dizzy and Daisy
Totally oblivious to what will be
How were they supposed to know
Soon they'll be caught by Boris the evil troll

Well Dizzy and his girlfriend, Daisy, were taken to the dungeons far below
And the adventure could begin,
how will it end, will Dizzy and Daisy win?

Well, how am I supposed to know?
I never even ever played this game before
I just like the music,
and made a little remix which in everyone's mind will stick

(Well, probably not though, um...I'll be surprised if anyone listens to this. Uh, yeah, well...here we go...)

Hi!!

I made a cover of the song from the DOS/Amiga version of Prince of the Yolkfolk!! (It's not the same song as the Spectrum/C64 ones.)

http://auriplane.net/yolkfolkrock7.mp3

I made a Youtube video for it too, doesn't sound quite as good for some reason:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W7Qs4JWnhyc&hl ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W7Qs4JWnhyc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I always fall out of clouds in these games!! :v2_dizzy_walkman: !!!
