The List of Dizzy Games

A place to post interesting information to the community.
+___The Comprehensive List of Dizzy Games may be found at the following Uniform Resource Locator:
+___ https://1drv.ms/x/s!Am7QvREkJBcagptVbLKeqyfYDQQtSg
+___Also, is there a Russian-speaking person around? There should be some.
+___I have attempted to find a list of the Dizzy games that are present within the http://www.dizzyland.ru website. Using the "Google Translate" Software Application, I cannot determine yet whether that website is just criticizing the Dizzy universe or it actually contains some executable binary files related to the Dizzy games.
:umm: what's the point of this list? it's overly complicated and unnecessary .. i'm not sure what the purpose is or what the end goal is.

Oh well, Onwards

+___Hi, Meph.
+___Thank you for your honest criticism and valuable feed-back.
+___We might tend to get a little philosophical over here... What is the point of "Spellbound Dizzy"? What is the point of "Dizzy and Zaks' Ring"? What is the point of the entire universe that is centered around an animated character representing an eternally-smiling egg, endowed with red boxing gloves and red boots?
+___And why would a sane human being spend literally years from their lifetime sending that egg left and right, up and down, picking one thing from somewhere and dropping it somewhere else? It does not really make sense, after all.
+___The purpose or the goal of this list initially was to simply gather all of the known Dizzy games, since they might be scattered on diverse websites. In time, I have added some bits and pieces of information that have complicated it, I agree. The format would now be better suited for a table, but I prefer the plain text format because it is the simplest of them all and it is available on any possible electronic device.
+___Also, it happens that this year, 2017, we celebrate thirty years from the making of the very first Dizzy game. The list also attempts to chronologically gather bits and pieces of information from the history of the Dizzy universe. That might also seem insane, I agree. Why would anybody collect Michael Jackson's used paper handkerchiefs? Why would anyone visit the basements of all of the known pyramids that are scattered around the Earth and consequently get infected by unseen and unknown microorganisms? And still, people do it. A lot.
+___My next venture would have been to place the list on Wikipedia in a more readable format, for instance in a table. There are a few reasons why I am not rushing to perform this step. Of course, one would eagerly ask again: what is the point? Wait a minute, there... What is the point of having Wikipedia, after all?
+___I am afraid that I cannot give you a definite answer to your question, Meph. In the beginning of this thread, Adz.M has said something similar and then he seemed to have changed his mind. I have just felt like doing this list and I have done it. It might seem that I have overdone it, but this happens when you have to deal with a lot of data.
+___If I have offended anyone of the 1528 members of the Dizzy community through the making of this list, then I apologize. My intention was not to annoy anyone. I am a very thorough person and I really felt very comfortable in this process. I felt that I have learned a lot. I even had no idea that certain things do exist, for instance, Sinclair ZX Spectrum TR-DOS.
+___So, again, in the end, please forgive me also for writing a lot. After all, what's the point in reading "War and Peace" by Dostoevsky?
I have found game if you don't have them.

DizzyFor by AER. Date - 20.04.2013

viewtopic.php?t=2422 - The file was gone, but a game remained with me.

Not Dizzy, but is very similar.

+___Hi, Rindex.
+___Thank you for answering my call.
+___I have updated the Part Two of the list that appears within an earlier post. I have edited the following lines:
+___2,013-04-20: "Dizzy for http://zx-pk.ru " (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com ; Windows 32bit; Russian; http://my-files.ru/2b1pic )
+___The correct name would not be "Dizzy For", but the complete name of the game rather is "Dizzy for http://zx-pk.ru ". I have started the "DizzyFor.exe" executable binary file and it works perfectly, but it needs a Russian audience. I can barely read the Russian language and that veeery sloooowly.
+___I can imagine that http://zx-pk.ru must be a Russian website dedicated to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum microcomputer.
+___This way, I have found a new entry in my list, launched six days ago!
+___ http://zx-pk.ru/content/170-Dizzy-VII-% ... EMAKE-2017)
+___ http://zxart.ee/rus/soft/game/arcade/ad ... izzy-2017/
+___ This seems to be a remake done still for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum microcomputer! It is unbelievable that they are still programming it!
+___ I knew that there was another Dizzy world out there, owned by the Russians. I could feel it.
+___ I have also updated the Part One of the list that appears within an earlier post. I have inserted the following lines:
+____2,017-04-16: Dizzy VII.C: "Crystal Kingdom Dizzy 2017" (ZX Spectrum 128 / +2 / +2A; http://zxart.ee/rus/soft/game/arcade/ad ... izzy-2017/ )
+___ About Blinky - as I have been told by other Forum members, the Dizzy list should contain only Dizzy games. So, no Dizzy clones such as Mystic Belle, Giddy, Spud, Poonsy, Seymour, Blinky, Knoorkie, Pac-Man, Slightly Magic, Spike in Transylvania or anything else that is not named Dizzy should appear within the list.
+___ Thank you very much indeed, Rindex!
Howdy, nah i wasn't criticising , i just didn't see the benefit or purpose of going to all the trouble to make such a list. We all have quirky hobbies i guess. :toothy:
+___Hi, Meph.
+___I am now playing your "Heart-Land Dizzy", a huge adventure. I have only one game map, probably made by a Russian brother. The dialogues are not helping me much, either. They are sometimes extremely witty until they do not make much sense, at all.
To be honest i have little memory of that game, lol I don't think it was that good to the fair as i tried to throw everything into the game. Although i do remember having a lot of fun making it.
+___Hi, Meph.
+___It is funny that every time I think that I am clueless, the next day I make some more moves and go on with the game.
+___Your spelling is also funny. Maybe we can get someone to translate it into the English language.
+___To bend the discussion more towards the topic of the thread, I am investigating the possibility of wikipedeeing the Comprehensive List of the 396 Dizzy Games that I have found so far.

Tis in English.
