OK, now I've finished. I actually did in the early afternoon, but later I had to go out and was in a bit of a hurry.
Colin, please let us know when the newest version is ready. Bugs I have personally noticed:
- the life bar problem (Jamie suggests it's a matter of tile size),
- Dizzy "falling out of tracks",
- not being able to get back to the pier when leaving the ship; it seems - only from some point (or maybe indeed since I downloaded the new version?).

Anyway, the game has really amazing graphics and unlike I said before - the mine cart ride doesn't actually stand in a real contrast to the rest of the game.

You need to show the innkeeper you have the trust of the governor - have you got anything from him - especially something he wouldnt give away ?

Ashamed as I am to admit it, I am stuck and have no idea what to do next. I have:

Replacement break shoe
A padlock key
Daisy's pink scuba gear
Fuse cord
Cutting snips
Bug repellent
Fireside bellows
Sugar cane
An empty bottle

Puzzles to do:

Everything at the hotel
Everything at the pub
Everything on the pirate ship
Grand Dexter
The jail

Can somebody help point me in the right direction?

Gavlaa

Hi Gavla

You may need to brighten your monitor - from what items you have it seems that you haven't found the tunnel that you jump onto, that is just past the entrance to the cave the genie was guarding.

Thanks Grandad,

I had my display set to 16bit instead of 32bit, due to playing some emulated games a little while ago.

Thanks

This is an absolutely cool game, I'm so incredibly impressed, and a little envious...

Also a little frustrated...

I have all the scroll pieces, and I have:

Old lantern
Dented Pewter Mug
Aqualung
An Old Hatchet
A Blunt Dagger
Cutting Snips
Devil's Teeth
Comfy Blue Slippers
A Penny

And I'm looking for a root for the beach cave, it seems.

For some reason I just can't seem to think what to do next.
I'm guessing it has something to do with Leo the wizard dude, or something with the well (I've been down it but still drawing a blank).

If anyone can give me a little gently push in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Ta muchly.

Andy.

You should also have got a ladder from the shed when you got the scroll pieces which will help you get to the 'root'.
