and now i'm stuck again.

i have the emerald eye, horseshoe, tub of butter, feather, hero sword and megaphone.

no-one wants the hero sword, and i've tried everything on the bear. I actually think that there's only the bear (and frog-dora) left to do. Certainly can't see anything else to do. Maybe the fire in the fort, but I have nothing for that.

*shrugs*

What about Prince Bertie in the Western Fort?

Coral Caves Dizzy - Sometime in the future

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant time
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine

And no-one showed us to the land
And no-one knows the where or whys
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb towards the light

eh? not seen him.

edit: there's a locked door in the fort, and i assume the key is the one in the air pocket, which I can't jump up to.

EDIT:: this is what i currently have:

:p hehe!

and no i haven't unpaked it. I just did that to make it easier to try everything on everything, as I'm getting sick of trying it all in the vain hope that for some reason, a cat or megaphone will get me past the door or propel me up onto the ledge.

Ok, you have to work on the air pocket. The problem isn't in that room though. Hope that floats an idea in your head.

:dizzy_mad: how was I supposed to figure that out without trying every single item in a random place on an innocuous hilltop?

I could understand using a pickaxe or hammer or crowbar there, but a tub of butter? It's not exactly the kind of thing you'd try just out of curiosity.

I could probably come up with equally valid reasons why every other item I have at the moment would work there.

'the cat digs away in the dirt and dislodges the rock, which shoots upwards with the pressure from below.'

'you shout through the megaphone, causing the hillside to shake and dislodge the rock, which shoots upwards with the pressure from below.'

'you use the feather to dust away the soil around the rock, dislodging it and shooting it upwards with the pressure from below.'

'you drop your scuba kit onto the rock, and the weight of the air tank dislodges it, freeing it to shoot upwards with the pressure from below.'

etc etc.

Have you been to Dylan's roof garden? There's something there which might be used to placate someone.
