Uncompleteable bonus level

Probably everyone who has played the PC version remembers it... it's (if I remember well) 4th bonus level (the one with the mushrooms, anyway) in Grand Dizzy's world. And it's impossible to complete this level, the most one can collect are all the mushrooms but two. A level without a possibiliy of reaching its goal seems to me very clearly "against the idea of the game" - maybe someone knows why is it so? Some mistake or just something deliberate to annoy players?

I don't remember any of the levels being uncompletable.

Levels are different in 16bit and 8bit versions. Im not sure how well I played that level. I made a full video of Amiga version(pretty much same stuff as PC version)

I don't have this game, but seeing is believing, and the bonus levels are easy enough to play along with just by looking at the layout, so I took a screen capture from Lemmy556's video
It really looks as if you can only get all the mushrooms but the two above and below Dizzy's starting point, or just the two above and below plus one to the right of and slightly below the one above.

Yep, it really is. Obviously they missed out a hand or put one in the wrong place.

Yeah, it may have just been approved too quickly, judging by the fact that you can reach all the mushrooms, but not all in one go. Like maybe a mental slip, thinking that Dizzy could stop back at his original position again after going to the top and bottom hands.
Or they may have wanted to wanted to send us a message with the game, "You can't always have everything you want in life, so stop being so greedy for once!"
