Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

Oops! In my original notes I had a rock falling out of the sky and the net was in Richard's cupboard - Armorog, you may need to get the diamond from the underground tunnels behind the dragon (egg in one of the secret rooms mentioned by Snr Trooper) ...unless I changed it and didn't put it in my note...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

Sorry Armorog, you need the third totem piece to be able to reach the blue key and that totem piece is in Richard's 'top secret' area, so you need the red skeleton key from his safe to enter. As you've already got some fish you must have already got the fishing net from Richard's house ..and the red...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

Yep! Worst ever maze ...originally I was going to leave all the walls 'brown' but decided to switch wall colours for the different 'levels' as this maze really is a bugger! Solution: N = go through top door, S = go through bottom door, R = go east, L = go west. Press brown button, N, pull green leve...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

In the entrance to the huts the four coloured 'balls' above the door show the order of the songs to be pressed - so a sequence of red, blue, green, yellow would indicate that the four buttons below would either play 'Little Red Rooster', 'Love Is Blue', 'Green Onions' or 'Big Yellow Taxi; your task ...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

Armorog, you should know by now that I'm the master of the obscure clue; I rarely put clouds in my games purely for decoration - and if you're very observant (or extremely sad) you will notice the direct line from the yogi's head to the two clouds and the tree branch :v2_dizzy_cry: and yes, the scre...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

There are three 'exits' in the water maze at the far right; top - to back of Richard's house, middle - to yogi, bottom - to anglers' paradise. Monkey like banana, but ...won't tell you of the secret room to their righ t :v2_dizzy_cool: The house music buttons match the colour of the songs activated ...

Re: viewport mode acting silly

Thanks so much Simon ...just adding GameSet(G_VIEWPORTY, 0); sorted it out perfectly. There's only going to be a few 'sections' where vertical scrolling is required, so this tiny little line of code should stop me getting any more big dents in my computer table and large bumps on my head :v2_dizzy_c...

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

How odd, I even took the map apart to see if I had missed a tiny black collider as sometimes I remap part of a game when I think a particular section is rubbish ...or not hard enough to mess with people's heads :v2_dizzy_clapping:

Re: Fishy Business (HELP THREAD)

Hmm, sorry Boo but I can't get that error to happen. The only 'tunnel' entrance that goes anywhere near the 'black room' to the right of the 'ending scene' is the one coming back from the 'top middle' of the tunnel system - ie the red brick house with Richard whatsisname from The Crystal Maze and th...

Re: viewport mode acting silly

Thanks Simon. I just deleted the vertical scrolling code in Property Ladder Dizzy with no problem. I checked Colin's 'Pirate life Dizzy' as he also used status checks for horizontal and vertical scrolling with no problem. Can't find anything in the GS9 book, just a description of the code. As a diff...
