I've only just seen this, but I did something with moving platforms in Pirate Ship Dizzy.

Nah, it really would be far too complicated to do.
Meph wrote:What about mouse support with dizzyage, is that possible?
No.

Hmmmmm! This is the kind of challenge I'd look into if I still had the time. *thinks* No I don't have the time. I actually don't think it'd be possible anyway. Or at least, very difficult. The issue isn't moving the ball, or even detecting a collision, it would be working out which angle to deflect ...

It'll come as no surprise to any of you that I don't check this forum very often now.

If Meph's idea happens, the choice of mine would be Mystic Forest Dizzy. I thought I'd say that now, as there's no guarantee I'll be back on here before the competition ends!

I used to use AVG, but changed to Avast a year or two ago. Malwarebytes is very good, but it's not really an anti-virus.

In my opinion McAfee and Norton, quite frankly, are pieces of s*** which are best uninstalled in favour of something that is good.

Just my opinion :)

Blimey, 10 years...! I remember, back in late 2006 or early 2007, idly thinking 'I wonder if anyone else remembers Dizzy?' So I googled it and came across something called DizzyAGE. The thought that I could actually maybe make my own Dizzy game was quite exciting, and I spent about two weeks playing...

No, he means the map I did when the game was complete, but didn't have a lot of the detail. It was hosted on my site for a short while, before it went down.

I do still have it, but it's on my computer, and I don't currently have anywhere to host it.

If you can, it's a lot lot simpler to have the whole game using one map. Trust me on that!

Regarding Dizzy falling across the HUD, technically that isn't possible, as the 'game area' is the bit inside the window, below the HUD. It isn't possible to have the player outside the game window. In terms of turning scrolling on, that wouldn't work either, because the game window is still the sam...

AndyG, regarding animated fonts, it's probably possible in theory. Message boxes are drawn as part of the HUD (from what I remember). There's probably a way of 'forcing' the HUD to animate, but I don't think I ever really tried. I wouldn't bet on there being a way though ;)
