Re: I made a video

Cheers guys. Much appreciated. :) I hope the feedback I provided from when I tested the racing game a couple of years ago hasn't discouraged you at all, I never intended to put anybody off at all. Goodness me no. I had a real good go at doing the racing game. Was really pleased I worked out how to d...

I made a video

Hello All,

It looks like I'm never going to finish another game on DizzyAGE so I made a video of all the ideas I've been playing around with the past few years.

Here's the link, if you're interested: https://youtu.be/I8Hvyj7DPtE

Re: Disable life bars

Are you thinking of having Dizzy die like in Dizzy I? Where he flies apart every time he touches a bird? That would mean changing functions in the handlers.gs and player.gs files. Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I have already created the death animation (Dizzy's body shrinks). I t...

Re: Disable life bars and dizzy on messages

Hi Kalle, I'm not sure I understand your questions either, but I'll do my best. :) If you want to remove the death message, you can just delete if from PlayerDeathMessage, leaving the quotation marks: func PlayerDeathMessage( death ) { if(death==-1) return ""; // ... return ""; // default } Are you ...

Re: Sound in DEV-MODE silent

Hi Kalle,

This has happened to me before. I never worked out why it happened, but I fixed it by deleting the dizzy.ini file and replacing it with a new copy.

Hope this helps

Re: Daisy's Quest (HELP THREAD)

Finished this tonight. Really frustrating game actually - I had to restart and go through the temple room by room with the map to make sure I got all the diamonds. And I had trouble working out what all the switches did. Enjoyed it though. :v2_dizzy_clapping: The one thing I never worked out - how w...

Re: Daisy's Quest (HELP THREAD)

I've had a few goes at this now and I'm gonna have to ask for help.

I have a spade, a machete and 5 mushrooms. I need to find a banana. Assumed it would be in the maze with the monkey, but I've been through it with all 6 colours and no cigar...

Re: viewport mode acting silly

Hi Steve, I remembered where I'd seen this before. In AndyG's demo - The Legend of Daisy, there's a bit where you fall down a shaft and it scrolls vertically, then it goes back to horizontal scrolling, but afterwards the viewport is slightly misaligned, so that there's a 4 pixel gap at the bottom of...
