"This call will be more expensive than a normal phone call"...i bet it is![]()
I never phoned the helpline so it is interesting to hear what was actually said, also be interesting to phone the number now and see what happens.
the phone number was 0898 555 091,
well you dial 0898 5 and you get
*The number you have dialed has not been recoginsed, please hang up and try again *![]()
Nice... i actually phoned up for spellbound dizzy once. It actually helped me out with sometyhing almost straight away so i hung up.
LOL good stuff.![]()
Love the way she says the call will be more expensive and ends up saying unnecessary stuff to drag on the call.
"The treehouse complex is too difficult for me to describe, so explore it for yourself."
thats some great advice, although I suppose it shortens the phonecall... no advice on those tricky coins, though.
actually now that I think about it, I wonder if I used this helpline to get further in Treasure Island Dizzy - I definitely phoned some of those helplines, and I can't think how I would have found out things like using the bible to protect against the cursed treasure (I don't think I'd have figured it out for myself at that age, and I didn't know anyone else with the game).
we had a map in one of our magazines so there was no need to phone up.
Haha, the good old buy the game for ?3.99, get stuck and pay an extra ?5 for advice... Nice one Codies. Don't get me wrong, they're my fave all-time game publisher but they're still doing the same old trick now. It's not really fair.
I only ever phoned up one help line, but I can't remember which one it was. It was definitely Codemasters, but to be honest I don't think it was a dizzy game.... Same old blurb though.
"Avoid walking underneath traps.... These will kill you".
