Hmm... Perhaps the one life system could have worked if a save system was implemented, however with a health bar too... I'm not that sadistic.

Quite simply a save system would really negate the point of having lives within the adventure, however if you've only got the one life plus your dedicated save points, that would still require you to be cautious when adventuring in the wide world of Zakeria.

    Cool Save!!

    Hi guys!

I am so pleased I found this site and hope you can help me!

I have been trying to download Dizzy (as I used to play as a kid on the Sega Mega Drive :-D) but I am only finding the 'normal' versions and not the emulator version so I can save it! Please help! There must be an easier way to do this! :-(

    Thanks

    Maria

I'm sure these two posts will get moved to a relevant section, but just so you know the games you can find for download on here are fan-games, created by the community, using an excellent Dizzy game designer called DizzyAGE. Many of these games are cellent, and I highly recommend you try them...

If you are looking for the 'Fantastic Dizzy' Megadrive/Genesis ROM to use with your Sega Emulator on your PC, you won't find that kind of thing here.

I cannot give you a link to the ROM because technically, even though it's classed as obsolete (as the system is no longer supported/produced/for sale) you can only download the ROM if you own the original game.

But, if you type "Fantastic Dizzy Genesis ROM" into your favourite search engine, you'll probably find what you're looking for...

If you are wanting to play the classic 8 bit Dizzy games, you can find remakes of a lot of them on here, painstakingly recreated by Peter in fine detail using DizzyAGE. You can press the Esc key to bring up a menu when playing where you can indeed save your games
