    Default version comparison?

hi all, first post, i wanna get back into this series but this page has confused me:
    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...icrosoft:en-US
i was brought up on the spectrum version, but there are clearly more graphically defined versions, as shown on the page.

BUT, the screenshots with the blue sky appear to have changed the scenery layout, why is there now a hut above denzil? where have the rocks gone?

is it so different that i would not welcome it, or is it simply improvements? how different is it?

    cheers, tizerist.

to me, the speccy versions will always be the best.

some of the other versions had slightly changed layouts and scenery. dunno why tbh.

oh and welcome to the site!

I'll second what Jamie has said

Welcome to the forums tizerest, As soon as you've read our replies I'll move this thread to the "Magicland Dizzy" section of the forum seeing your question doesn't have anything to do with Fantasy World

    oops, wrong section....

thanks though, i am quite tempted to go with the better looking versions.

am i right in thinking that Fantasy world, magicland and prince of the yolkfolk came out on PC - they would be ok to play on XP?

in the link page i gave you, it says "IBM compatible PC" for magicland dizzy.
i dont know what that is.....

    Moved to Magicland

Fantasy World, Magicland and Prince of the Yolkfolk were released on PC DOS, I don't know if they do work on XP seeing as I haven't tried it myself.

regarding your post about if it made a difference.. When ive played the different versions of this game (which Magicland Dizzy IS my fav game ) I havent really noticed a significant difference at all to the alternations. All as enjoyable as the next. Well worth trying.

nope just faithful remakes of the original spectrum versions, or though the magicland version does include 2 new rooms not in the original and a 'easter egg' type cheat mode
