Made Grandad a nice cup of tea today, which took for ever - so glad he didn't ask for a biscuit with his tea. Loved playing this Grandad, thought it would be easy but wasn't and lovely surprise to have the other rooms as well, got a bit worried i'd need to go parrot/magpie hunting. Really nice play in Theo's room, left with my final object numerous occasions and went back round before realising what was what doh
Anyway loved it Grandad and as alway the graphics were Sh............uperb [said in the accent of Sean Connory being James Bond - not Rindex lol]

What version is everyone playing? i have v101.
Because i still can't stop collecting Kettles while trying to plug the leak.
And Grand dizzy is not going to take his tea until it's been plugged (with the cork, i only have two kettles as other items)

i played the 1st version Meph and it was ok - you should only have 1 kettle and 1 teapot! presume you've tried it with just the cork in your inventory - otherwise no help - sorry

I don't understand how that is happening Meph. The only change to that part was the bug Jamie found about being able to use the empty kettle before the drip appeared, so I just added the rain check status change to the if statement about using the empty kettle there. But in both versions the empty kettle, the full kettle and the full of hot water kettle all have different IDs and only the empty kettle ID is referenced in the 'UseObject' function at the gap by the ceiling and using the empty kettle switches it to the full kettle, so there is no way that the 'full kettle' or the 'full of hot water kettle' should have any affect on the UseObject function by the gap.

The cork used to plug the ceiling also has a different ID to the cork used to plug the gas pipe and the 'first' cork isn't included in the UseObject function either.

You couldn't have fixed it, because i filled the kettle with rain water BEFORE the drip appeared, and the message comes up with every object i use.

I'm playing the same version as everyone else so i don't understand why it's not working for me.

I also got this bug. I talked to grand Dizzy and still collecting kettles and can't use cork. Game 1.01 is not solvablei think author of this game should delete object 117 after use - not only replace with 118 - so this code line never appear again.

Muchos apologies Meph and MrDarek. I've changed it now (v1.02, and sent to AdzM & Alex) so that you can't fill the kettle until the dripping rain has appeared and if you try again with the full kettle you just drop it.

I still don't understand why it was acting silly, as I used the same checks for making it rain and drilling the hole and they work fine. For info MrD, I was using Jamie's little utility to replace inventory items which takes the relevant item from the inventory (and disables it), then finds the new item and adds it to the inventory.

You'll have to start from the beginning as I had to add an extra object to the map. Right, now back to 'a maze of doors' in Iron Tower.
