I DONT recommend playing the game in full screen.. it lowers the res.. press "ALT & ENTER" to reduce screen size down to the actual game size 640x480... thats the rmxp programme that auto adjusts the game screen.. this cant be helped.. it's something im working on

    Hope you enjoy the demo!

    Default First update 20/1/2012

These are two pictures of the title screen for the game, the first pic shows "press any key"
this flashes multi colors, the background moves back and forth, zooms in and out , with a
fog effect. Also, the crystal looking snowflakes moves left to right whilst falling down all to
the sound of a main theme tune.

Below is a picture of the entrance to Lochlyn Forest, a never ending forest maze that you
will need to navigate through with the correct directions to continue on with your quest.
The pictures show that the game also has a day/night system in place which means at
points in the game you will find people/quests/ect.. available at night that are not available
by day, even traders/shops open or close depending on this system too.

Below is another picture of a midnight chat dizzy and daisy has.

A Map of the game, this is not in the game yet, once it's complete it will be part of the boat
travel system, where you will get a boat as a quest enabling you to travel the world.

    Default Second Update 20/1/2012

So... below is a few pictures of the menus and extra's in C.K.D.RPG... these are all located within a
ring menu, the ring menu is below.

The Items Screen, YES! there will be golden coins in the game for you to locate

The Skills and Magic Screen, daisy IS a playable character, though if you want a challenge, try playing
the game without her. In-game text changes depending on who's in your party also.

The Equipment screen, here you can see things you have equipped, like rings, cloaks, boxing gloves, ect.

The status screen, here you can check equipment equipped, your level, other stats also.

Theres also a save, load, and end game screen... i'm sure you know what those are for.. SO! there's extras for you in this game also that I put in to make the game more enjoyable... take a look below...

A monster journal for you to keep track of monsters/bosses..ect.. this page shows all info on them, useful, YES,
before you ask... thats the first boss encounter you see in this image.

A jukebox screen, here you can listen to ALL the music within C.K.D.RPG. There's a slight problem with this
though... it seems i can't figure out how to add music as you come across them, instead they are all in there
from the start of the game, ... I will get to sorting that out at a later date

A mini-quest screen, this shows all mini-quests you have active or completed, the quest with the dot means not
completed, the quests with dizzy like this - - means quest completed. There's also a small
problem with this screen too that will get sorted.. the black border, this will eventually show the map your on.

A Reputation screen, this shows any reputation points you have with, towns, poeple, quests, hidden secrets that
you have found. dungeons.. the point add up to 100 on each bar so there will be a LOT to do in ways of reputation.

Lastly.. Achievements screen, this shows up by doing certain things like jump over a log 100 times, have 200,000 silver at one time, find the pirates secret treasure.. ect.

Thanks Lex.. I'm working hard on this game.. as the updates show.. it's a project that I shelved a while back that is now being revived again. I'm just picking out random pictures here and there with what i have made so far to showcase my work, from there then it will be mainly text updates with a few pictures here and there.

SO! here is a few pictures I think you all will want to see... Yolkfolk Village.. YAY!.. theres a total of four floors to explore and to collect things, a couple of quests here to do also.

    Outside daisy's hut...

Outside Danny's hut, YES! danny has an appearance in C.K.D.RPG too

Here's danny in his hut with squidgy, his pet.

Top of the yolkfolk village, outside dizzy's hut.

    Lastly, outside Denzils hut.

    Default Fifth Update 20/1/2012

This is the current city im working on... desert city - "Akabar" it's split into 3 parts in game though this picture shows one whole map, it's not, it's in 3 parts to reduce game lag when all npc's and other things are added in to the maps.
It's taken me the best of roughly 6 hours to make this map, and i just noticed a mistake... lol... one of the houses don't match up, will edit that in a bit .. In game im debating on wether to add a sand storm effect to the map too to give it that real desert sandy feel, that would'nt take me 2mins to sort out..

Might as well add the sand if it's easy enough.

    The treehouse looks awesome!

    Must have taken many days.
Have you got a lot more to do?
Do you finish an area at a time so it's playable or do you do all the map, then the coding etc?

    Default Sixth Update 20/1/2012

Right, i'm sure your all wondering what's the battles are gonna be like... well, I'll show you, this updates about battles and what it consists of. The battles are front view just like the old school rpg's, mystic quest legend, earthbound, for example.. so the first picture..

When you enter battles, you get speech from each characters in your party, this might change though as it's hard to get battle sentences already made and trying to sort out voices that I think would sound like dizzy, daisy, theodore, and pogie, (though pogies would mainly be grunts, roars, ect.. lol), is hard to come by.. maybe at a later date i might request voice actors for the battle shouts of each. Also when you enter a battle, you get.. FIGHT appear on screen as in the picture above.

Okay, as you can see, your players are at the bottom, the enemies are in center screen, top of screen is your option that animate as you chose them, left of the screen is the enemy's hp's.. more enemies there are the more bars appear there.

As you fight you will notice speech bubbles appear above your characters heads saying odd little remarks, these are just for something a little extra whilst in battles, see picture above for example. Also whilst fighting, top right of the screen, as you hit you get a combo counter appear, this counts how many times in a row you hit an enemy, get over 2 hit combo, so 3, 4, 5, ect.. and you get extra damage points added onto your next attack round.

The Skills menu whilst in battle is available too for spells, attacking skills, and so forth.

Lastly... Battles will also take place with a darkened tint to the screen if your fighting at night too.

Hope these six updates covers pretty much the basics of the game so far, in total gamplay as in hours you can play up to i've made roughly 3 hours worth of gameplay, thats in a total of 158 single maps so far.. LOL this games gonna be HUGE!

That treehouse took me about a week, that was without adding in the characters, quests, chatting scenes.

I basically map 1 area, like yolkfolk village, then add in the text, characters, quests. Atm im now mapping akabar city but that city comes WAY later on in the game once you get your ship and the world map becomes open for you to explore.. im aiming for atleast 100 mini-quests besides the main quest, there's also a sub main quest where you have to save 4 elemental godesses, tho this is not a must do to finish the game. Atleast 10 main dungeons, then maybe 5 hidden dungeons, it'll all come together, it's just sometimes it's difficult finding the resources I need.. like sprites, battle backgrounds.. ect.
