Hi Guys

It's Paul here the developer behind POTYF.

First up your Android needs to have OpenGL2 to work. This rules out quite a few of the older phones (sorry).

We have then built 3 different versions of the Android:

Tegra 2 devices
PowerVR
ATI Qualcomm

Its been a nightmare to keep all the data in sync. There is a final version that does not use any of the above.

In theory if your device is not covered by any of the above it will not be offered on Market Place for you to play.

Colour me confused. I couldn't actually buy it for my Galaxy S, but as a very long-term fan (much amusement was just had comparing my original C64 PoTYF tape to the similar-sized phone ) I wasn't having that.

I added my other half's Xperia Arc to my Google account, which let me buy the app ("Dizzy POTY 3.0") just fine. I then used Estrong File Manager to backup the APK file to SD card, Easy Installer to install it on the Galaxy S and finally moved the installed app from the SD card to the device RAM with the inbuilt app manager.

I can now run it with no problems I can find - looks fine, sounds fine, controls fine. Any particular reason I can't just buy it for the S in the first place, e.g. some problem I am going to run into later on, or is this perhaps just due to the stock firmware not being compatible and the app failing to account for the official update to 2.3.3 Gingerbread which I'm running?

This sort of thing is no good at all, since frankly people aren't going to jump through the hoops I have to purchase and run the game legitimately, you're just going to encourage them to pirate it, which is not what we want at all and seems the worst possible outcome in terms of helping future releases.

Please fix this, the Galaxy S is a very popular handset and the game seems to work just fine once you go through all the bother!

I'm so gutted I cant play this on my samsung galaxy ace..
please release another version that'll play android devices..
