    Default Guzzler

Another game I was quite addicted to back in 1986 was Guzzler - did anybody play that?

Guzzler was either a rat or mouse (I'm not sure what he was) who worked his way through a maze collecting keys which enabled him to unlock cells with food in. Strange creatures called Frobblies pursued Guzzler. He had a few bombs he could use at times. Also, he became fat from eating all the food so had to pass through a guy called Deflator Dennis in order to get thin.

Quite a fun game, certainly very addictive. I guess it is similar to many other games where you move through a maze, avoiding creatures and consuming things, but on it's own merits, it was very good.

In this day and age of cheats and memory cards, I don't think young folk can appreciate the frustration caused by progressing through the levels, but then being killed and having to start again. It was frustrating, but there was something satisfying about having a go again.

    Anyone remember the game?

Mine was Amstrad. Not sure if it was available on any other machine.
