Clever stuff - how do they do it?

Is clever, not exactly sure but uses GIF Images (Graphics Interchange Format)

depends, there's three ways really.

one is to use photoshop to create different pictures, then merge them together in an animated GIF.

the second is to take a few different photos, then merge them together in an animated GIF (as I did about 5 years ago with the two images below)



and the third (and most likely) is a combination of the above two methods, where you take parts of other photos (hair, eyes etc) and overlay them on the original photo to create different pictures, then merge them together in an animated GIF.
