    Default Which Internet Browser?

I'm curious which Internet Browser everyone uses?

This comes about because I'm currently re-writing all the code for my Dizzy Stories website, and there is a little graphical nicety that Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8 don't display.

So people who use Opera, Firefox, Safari, and (possibly) Chrome, will see it, but everyone using Internet Explorer won't.

Basically it's because Microsoft think they're too high and mighty to adhere to such things as web coding standards. Gits.

    Personally I use Opera.

    Both IE8 and Firefox.

I mostly use Firefox only to logon to Facebook mainly because of problems with ads on IE, but everything else I mostly use IE8.

this is the reason I ask. in Internet Explorer the new design of my site shows up with square borders, like this:

whereas in pretty much all other browsers, it shows up with rounded borders, like this:

I mostly use firefox over ie8
I do know that ie9 will show it with rounded corners. It's one of the things they are adding.
I think a public beta is due in the next month or 2

I like the new layout, Jamie!

oh yeah I know. they're finally getting round to adding support for CSS3. Trouble is, not everyone will upgrade. I know there were 8 visits to Dizzy Stories in the last month from people using IE6, and believe it or not, there are still people using IE5...

thank you! I wasn't sure about the logo on the darker background, but I guess it's ok. It's taking me a while to update all the pages, as I'm making it all Object Oriented.

Website looks great , I think the Logo works as it has all the different colours, at first glance it did seem different to the usual as it doesn't stand out as you might think but the contrast works well.

Do you write all the code manually or use a web editor?

    Thank you!

I write it all manually. I absolutely hate web editors, they put so much unneeded code into things, it's unreal. I prefer my code to be clean, uncluttered, and elegant. (plus it's a good way to learn!)

Besides, once you've done a few pages, there's usually some code that you can copy and adapt here and there, so you don't write the whole thing out from scratch!

I know what u mean about the extra code that's added, seems so unecessary, I try and write everything myself then I know where to amend it, I just don't have the creativity, learning day by day tho (I'm usually function over form)
