HI everyone i have just completed my first dizzy game:v2_dizzy_yahoo:
and was wondering how i go about putting it on this wonderful site.
i must say without the video tutorals by delta this would not have been possible so thanks:tup:
You could try PM Jamie (Delta) or Adz.M or Meph.
Look forward to playing your game
Congratulations! :v2_dizzy_clapping: You can email Alex here: http://www.yolkfolk.com/dizzyage/support.html to let him know, and i'm sure he'll be delighted to upload it for you!
Have you played it through right to the end? If not i would strongly recommend that you do, just to iron out anything that may not work as intended, and to make sure everything works and looks fine. If it's a small game then you'll be fine checking it on your own. If it's a medium to large game (say, 50+ screens and more than about 20 puzzles) i'd recommend getting someone else to test it as well before you release it, as they may discover things that you might have missed.
Seriously tho, very well done! I'm glad that the video tutorials have been of use! And remember, the more you play around with it, the more you'll learn, the more you'll understand, and your games will improve with each one you release!

Some good advise gonna go and check it now the only concern i have is that the game isnt that difficult ......:v2_dizzy_frown:
then again i suppose we all gotta start somewhere!
and like you say delta the more i use it the more i will understand or atleast i hope so
Fantastic.
Look forward to seeing what you've done.
See its not do hard once your give it a chance. :D

There is a tendency to think that your puzzles are easier than they actually are. this is because you know what to do, so it seems obvious to you! This is also where having someone test it comes in useful, as they may say that a certain puzzle is too hard, or way too easy.
All you really have to do is to try and ensure that they are logical, and that there is a reason for using that item to solve that puzzle.
oh and yes, we do indeed all start somewhere! :D

Open pak tool.
Write path to data folder in "From" box:
Ex: c:\mygame\data
Write out file in "To" box
Ex: c:\mygame\data\dizzy.pak
in case it gives an error, maybe the listed log is useful.

eggcellent 1st game there John! :v2_dizzy_clapping: I just completed it!
Wow thanks :D
I've just completed it, congratulations, it's a really nice little game! :v2_dizzy_clapping:
The graphics are nice, i especially like the rooms 'The Secret Chamber' and 'Fire Fire'. (i <i>really</i> like them!) :v2_dizzy_clapping: I'll also single out glendas house, the look out point, graves, and the castle below ground for special mentions too. I also like the colouring of the characters, and objects like the torch handles. I think Colin may have a rival for 'nicest graphics' soon, with rooms like the ones i've mentioned!
You seem to have grasped the coding pretty well too, which bodes well for future games! :)
I also like the cover screen, and you've had a nice go at changing the HUD too, which i suspect you'll want to take further in future games!
Other suggestions i have for future games include pasting the speech text into Word to check the spelling and grammar, try and have a 'finish' screen that the player gets to see at the end of the game, and try to find a use for the coins if you're putting them into the game. Also try to put any speech text that characters make into quotation marks, so that it's more easily distiguishable from game narration. :)
Overall, a very good first game! Well done! :v2_dizzy_clapping:

THANKS some good comments there something for me to think about.
im happy you like the rooms as they were the ones i edited:v2_dizzy_clapping: think i found a style that i like and something i can take further in my new game.
i never even thought about putting the speach into word makes alot of sence
thanks again for your feedback
Shouldn't need quotation marks.. thats what the different colours are for... ?
Anyway a 'woohoo' is in order.
I thought this had some fantastic ideas..the fiery stuff certainly looked mensing. i got stuck on the troll and there was something else but i wont say anything in case people hadn't played it yet.
Great little game, and no doubt you can expand those ideas for bigger and better things down the line.. also liked how almost each puzzle has a choice of twp possible items too try.
An whoa what a long flag pole.
And i kept expecting Zacks to shoot me!! slowley edging forward just in case.. lol
I've completed the game.
I like the way you've coloured in some of the rooms and the characters, and I second what Meph said about Zaks :p

I agree with the above comments, your attention to colouring in the rooms is very good. I hope you will continue making DizzyAge games. :)

A great fun little game, well done John, a very nice first effort. Puzzles were relatively easy (well, not impossibly hard or obscure!!), but you did have a nice few red herrings, as a previous poster mentioned.
I look forward to your next game!
