View Full Version : Talking
Is is possible to talk to the other characters?
i can't find out how.... i don't really like this game i;ve been playing it this week pretty much for the first time i can't work out what on earth I'm mean to be doing.. after 5 minutes i ended up in a graveyard no idea how i got there or how to get back and trying to use the items is a complete pain, i found the shopkeeper but can't seem to speak to him to find out what he wants..
Very weird game.
I don't think that there's any actual speech in the game; anything spoken seems to be done indirectly (he/ she says that...).
The town can be a bit awkward to navigate around. I'm not sure which version you're playing, but some have a street map that's visible whenever you're in a tunnel. You may be as well making a map of the town as you go; I know I found it very helpful.
As far as the shopkeeper goes, you won't need to deal with him for a while, and you'll know what to give him when you find it. :v2_dizzy_wink2:
i did two puzzle map things... i assumed i got point or a life for doing them i don't know..
version I'm doing is the Sega Genesis or something, decided I'll upgrade my emulator from a 64 to a Sega..lol
If memory serves the Sega version does have a street map. Try looking at the top of the screen when you're in the tunnel where you give the money to the guard.

Hi,
I have the Megadrive version, and there are maps when you are in the tunnels.
Unlike other games where the characters tell you (or at least hint at) something they need, you pretty much have to work it out on your own. For example, you see a prince waiting under the yolkfolk treehouses, in one of the houses a character (can't remember which one) has been turned into a frog, so you have to take her to the prince. He doesn't say that he needs a frog!:D

I think it's fair to say that if you've played the other games in the series then a lot of the puzzles will be very straightforward. :v2_dizzy_wink2:

I know!
You would have thought that after getting a trident through his heart in Magicland that Zaks would have learned some new tricks by now... :v2_dizzy_rolleyes:

Especially after finding out that Dizzy could dodge his orange so-called bowling bowls and leaving a mirror in front of him when his spell backfired. lol
