Hi Everyone,

Firstly, what a great site!!

I had forgotten all about Dizzy (How dare I) until a friend of mine gave me a Master System (for my son honest) and there it was, a Fantastic Dizzy game! All the memories came flooding back and I have been hooked on it, yet again, much to my Wife's annoyance! (Although it does get my own back for the time she spends on The Sims)

Anyway, this was the intro page, so here goes.

I'm Tosh, 27, married, have a three year old Son, and from Swansea, Wales, UK.

I have the Master System (first version), Mega Drvive II, and an XBOX. Only the Master System in action at the moment though. Very disappointed it doesn't have Alex Kidd Miracle World on it - I had that when I originally had a SMS back in '89 ish

Look forward to chatting with you all.

Tosh

Welcome to the Dizzy Community Tosh :)

I still remember getting really surprised finding Fantastic Dizzy for the MegaDrive whilst shopping the market in Plymouth  I can beat the game with ease these days :)

Hey dude :v2_dizzy_walkman:

Good to see another face supporting our Ovoid chum! Fantastic Dizzy is great on any format. The Mega Drive version is the best looker but the 8-bit Sega versions do a damn fine job. Very impressive. My favourited version is the NES plug-thru one though. Even though Dizzy himself looks a bit odd, and there's some sprite flicker, it's the largest of the different versions (I believe, after having played them all) and I just find it a very charming game. I may be biased as it's the first Fantastic Dizzy that I got hooked into, but I love that version. Take nothing away from the rest though. They're all.... FANTASTIC! (groan )

So yeah, I too am 27 and still loving my games and the Dizzy games.

As for Alex Kidd, if you've got an original Master System and you only get the Bios screen instead of the game when you boot up with no cart / card in, I suppose you'll have to buy it on cartridge. It's not amazingly rare to get hold of on Cart, but it's not as easy to find as say.... Sonic 1, or The Ninja or something like that. Sega8bit.com has it listed at 4/10 with regards to difficulty of getting hold of.

But anyway, I have a tendancy to go on and on... Welcome friend! Have an Eggcellent stay.
