I recently created a Tool-Assisted Speedrun of the NES game Dizzy the Adventurer.
For those unfamiliar with the term, a Tool-Assisted Speedrun (TAS) is an emulator made movie using slowdown and save-states to play the game as fast as possible. Unlike a regular speedrun where playing skill is key, a TAS involves analysis of the game and a lot of brute force to determine the fastest possible strategy.
You can view the movie on YouTube (http://youtube.com/watch?v=iwYBvu9qNX8) curtesy of speedruns.net (http://www.speedruns.net/)
Or, download a high quality video (http://tasvideos.org/905M.html) and read an in depth commentary (http://tasvideos.org/1530S.html) at the mother of all TAS sites, tasvideos.org (http://tasvideos.org/)
Figured someone here would enjoy this!
