It would be a tie between the Amstrad and Commodore 64 versions, but i don't really like the movement of the c64 dizzy games.

So Amstrad once again :)

I'd have to say the speccy version is the best, but the Commodore music is quality. Shame about the poor movement though

I thought the gameplay on the Commodore version was spot on, in contrast to the previous two posts here... Conversley, I consider the PC game to be a bit of a mess. The controls (especially jumping) just don't feel right.

Incidentally, the dizzy control and physics seem identical to me throughout the first four Commodore / Spectrum dizzy games, so how do you guys feel this one differs?

The music is great, and it's the first Dizzy game I completed too!

Commodore version is my fave for this one.
When I was younger I always used to consider that the Dizzy games were based at night due to the black background seen in the Commodore versions, obviously not realising at the time that it was purely a graphical restraint of the system.

Particulary with Magicland Dizzy though I always felt that it was a much darker game in the series and thought that having it based at night really suited it.
So even though graphically some of the later ports look superior, I find that the blue sky is a bit too bright and colourful for the mood set by the story of Magicland Dizzy.

for me it has to be the Amiga version, although it's very similar to the DOS version i probably played more growing up, the games header displaying energy and lives and the music on the Amiga version just make it that little bit better for me

it's also my favourite game of the whole dizzy series, love the puzzles, music, graphics and characters
