Ok i give up i'll start the help thread again :embarassed:
i've got these items i haven't used:
shield, purple jewel, garlic & remote control
and these items returned used
1 ton weight, big stick, sharp knife & pickaxe
can't get my head round the monolith maze at all and need to find a way to part/got over the red sea!!!!!
been like this for the last few hrs now with 22 coins :dizzy_mad:

so i read the instructions and followed them according to my small brain and got absolutely nowhere - is it something to do with going through the yellow doors in the maze - just can't get my bearings :dizzy_confused:

I am trying to find the last (blue i think) crystal, and now have 24 coins - no idea yet how many there are supposed to be! (bound to be at least 25 knowing my luck!)

I've got, well, erm, dizzy from walking around in circles in a maze. I've got it mapped as to what door leads where, but the "go west with the sun" hint hasn't helped me at all.
I did, however, had a dream last night with the bloody maze in it :) Rescue me, please!

Curses, Sherlock Frog has defeated me yet again! However, on the plus side, it's nice to know that some of you have wasted so much time trying to figure out the route of the maze rather than wait till the map shows you the way (only takes about 10 seconds to reach the middle). Can you hear my evil laugh?

The more I'm staring at the picture / map, the less focused I get, so... moving on for now!
I've got: knife (used), stick (used), cake (just picked it up for the 2nd time), duster (used once), holy cross (used), pickaxe (used twice I think), 1 ton weight (used several times); remote control, garlic, blue & purple jewels, shield, uhhhh I think that's it. I need to find Zaks's book for the genie, and get rid of the annoying goat (22 coins so far). I don't think anyone else wants anything else from me... Am I at the point where I have to get the (*shudder*) maze (*shudder*) done?

Kirkub - I think you are now at the point that you will need to solve the maze section - see my earlier posts for clues - its a bit difficult to give more clues without giving the game away, but try thinking about what happens to the sun during the course of the day, from say 6am, through to noon then to about 8pm at the moment and switch your position accordingly

Spooky - I was stuck here for ages - you need to use one of your items that you have already used again, and in the same way - but not to get a coin this time

I'm stuck at the maze too. In my opinion the game was rather easy up to this point (but maybe it's deceptively easy since I haven't found a few of the items mentioned above).
So...
- I have no idea what are those clicking parts on the top of the monolith used for.
- "Follow the sun". If north is at the top of the map, I reasoned that maybe I should first choose a door in the eastern room that has the colour of the rising sun... and so on. But it doesn't work, I guess I didn't get the solution.

-i have 20 coins ,i can see 1 ore in the castle how do i get it?
-how many more coins are there and what use do they have?

My advice would be to forget about the maze for now - it will become much easier after you've solved the riddle of the sun and moon.

Quiggie - if memory serves (it was only yesterday, but I am getting on a bit) the red crystal is very close to where you found the tuna - but you cant see it yet! But there is a wall that looks different.....

If you can see the chest, you should be able to pick it up and, that's as far as you can go. but I am not sure you have got there yet

I just can't get how to solve this horrible maze. It seems to me I'm moving in the direction of the sun - actually, frogandhat, you wrote that I was close to the solution - but still no success. The only move forward I've made is to check every single door and identify the one that probably leads to the center if you choose the doors in the correct order previously.

The sun moves from east to west in a constant direction ....so should you (the coloured wall blocks in the first part of the maze are there to help).

Hearing 'sliding blocks' means that something is happening near where you are standing. Nothing happens inside the maze corridors (apart from one doorway switching direction when 'the moon is fully grown').

The duster is the 'original' duster from Magicland, but now you mention it Quiggy it does look a bit like a turd.

Personally, I thought the hardest puzzles were finding the jewels, especially the red one ..I'm also surprised nobody has commented about Tarzan taking the banana from inside his loincloth ..or is that sort of crude humour expected from me now?

We've got to solve this blasted Maze which makes no sense.
The map isn't helpful in the slightest, once you walk thought the first door i have no idea were on the map I'm meant to be.

and i seem to walk around in circles in the maze without going though a door so i don't know were one side starts and the other ends, so coordinates are useless.

Spooky - yes the 1 tonne does have another use to get youto somewhere you can clearly see, but cant jump to and getting that coin is easy, just jump from the top of the lift!

I promise you, everyone, that all the clues you need for the maze are in the game or in this thread. Nowhere Girl was very close to the solution, but hasnt quite put 2 and 2 together - think about what you mentioned and the clues that have been given - remember the PICTURE is as much of a clue as the rhyme!. Personally I thought the rhyme was a very good clue, and I suppose it has proven to be so because you will kick yourselves when you work out the solution, as it then becomes obvious.
I am sorry, but I cant really think of any more clues for the maze without totally giving the game away, so if you are REALLY frustrated, PM me.

Only thing i can see with that picture is the yellow markers are exactly were you trigger something on the exterior which i haven't found out what it does yet.

And somehow i'm able to appear right at top without a door?

Have you tried going to where those markers are? and does anything happen? THEN think about the clues given, ie remember you facing north etc...

well I've been clicking theses buttons over and over in different orders..

BIG HINT ABOUT THE MONOLITH AND MAZE:

1st clue: 'to reveal the key just follow the sun from the early morn till the day is done'.
The picture shows the outside of the monolith and the bits coloured yellow represent the edges with 'balls' on. Landing on the lower ledge for the first time activates the lights inside and the start of the 'sun' sequence.As you walk past each 'ball' you get a 'thud' sound which if done in the correct order, ie, the movement of the sun throughout the day will reveal the golden key and also make a crescent moon appear at the top of the monolith. Make one mistake in the order and you have to start again.

2nd clue: 'then the path is only shown when the moon above is fully grown'.
You have to move something on the monolith to make the moon switch from being a crescent to a full moon. This will change the picture of the map to give you the route to follow inside the maze. NB, you can only reach the middle of the maze when the moon is full.

Getting the coin on the window of the castle can be a bit tricky - make sure you jump right when the lift is at the very top of its movement.

I cant find the bluecrystalanwhere.Got to the machineand have the other two jewels,any tips on where to look please.There are what look like bluejewels all over the place but i've tried using the knife to get at them but it doesn't work.

No luck so far. I thought maybe I need to look UNDER the trees, so I tried using the pickaxe and the 1 ton weight, but they didn't work and I really feel like I have tried every single one. The only thing are discovered is Dizzy's strange movement on the stairs (they are indeed made of stone and there were trees there, does it have anything to do with this puzzle?), on the border between two screens.
The goat dooesn't want garlic - I would have given it a cake, but I don't have it...
Items I have: cross (used to get past the vampire), shield (not used), pickaxe (used several times), 1 ton weight (used 3 times), garlic (not used), knife (I think I used it somewhere, but it was so long ago... ;)). I think that's all.

You dont need an item to find the cake, it is out in the open by some very big stones

Give it away clue - its in stonehenge, jump over the menhir on the left

I tried jumping in Stonehenge earlier and figured out it only hides a coin... now I know I was wrong. ;)
I don't know how to get the flower for the goat! I tried cutting it, but no, I can't use any item, Dizzy just keeps saying "It really is an unusual flower".

huh. I've figured the map out - was quite easy really - but the door that *should* go to the middle doesn't. It skips to another door that you can't go back through.

the 25th coin I got was out of the mouth of one of those troll statues in the ice castle, and it said 'there's a coin in the mouth'. It did not say 'you have found all the coins' or anything similar.

The wizard bloke says to try a key, glenda says she doesn't touch magical stuff anymore, the prince only says it could be one of zaks', and there is no-one else to try!

There is one more character in the game, but it isnt obvious that they can help you as you haven't even spoken to this person before (they may have trouble speaking for some reason) and all they have done is hinder you in the worst way possible ;)

Maybe as you found one of the 'hidden' coins last, you didnt get the message? I certainly got it when I collected my last coin by the chest, and my son got it with the goat coin.

Maybe as you found one of the 'hidden' coins last, you didnt get the message? I certainly got it when I collected my last coin by the chest, and my son got it with the goat coin.

Really love this game! That said, I have come to a grinding halt.

I have:

Garlic, Shield, Sharpe Knife, Remote, Ton Weight, 2nd cake.

Puzzles left:

Finding the red crystal (bulb), Getting across the lava, getting the book for the genie.

Of the three puzzles you have, they all hinge on the first.
You should have another item you havent mentioned but have used a couple of times. There is an area that you can use that other item, and it is an area that is easy to overlook but does look different to the surroundings.

Six, seven, what's the difference? To be honest I dont really know when his birthday is:embarassed: - birthdays aren't really something I have taken any notice of since I was about 12. (thats about 10 years ago:v2_dizzy_wink2:)

To be honest, I thought that this was the only non-logical puzzle, unless I missed a clue somewhere, as for everything else there were was a clue (no matter how subtle) - I guess I just solved it as I had run out of things to do!

Okay I'm really not getting what I need to do. Glenda, the Prince, the Monkey, the Vampire, the Ogre and the Genie are the only characters left that were in the original game and I've searched the entire map numerous times.:v2_dizzy_cry: Could someone be a little more specific please?

Ok, just started playing....you may think I am pretty thick but all I have managed to do is thus:
Opened the Monolith and entered a crazy maze, sorted the Monkey, done the first part of Glenda's puzzle.
So I think I am looking for a way down to the dungeons, opening the back door, a way over the Lava, accessing level 3 of the castle, sorting the guy with the deeds, finding a mushroom for Glenda.
My items are as follows: Sharp knife (used once), Cake, Holy Cross, Big stick (used once), Blue Gem...i think that is about it?:v2_dizzy_blush:
Please help!!!!!

One of the items you have used once (presumably to get a coin) can be used again - and you can get to the third floor via the clouds - maybe the two are related?:p

Nice game, but labyrinth is so frustrated. :dizzy_mad:
Also it doesn't have any additional ending sequence. What Happened to Dizzy? We never know. Unless author make Back to Magicland 2 or sort of.

Personally, the most frustrating bit (and not really at that) about it I thought, was that there was no need for me to to have gone to all the trouble mapping it all out! But that's my fault, and again part of the fun of having it! Once I had managed to work it out, I thought it was a perfect trick to get us all wandering around for hours, all to no avail! It certainly seems to have worked!

F&H, I guarantee that there are no labyrinths in the latest Daisy adventure I'm currently working on, just lots of different ways for her to get killed by the weapons installed in the army's newest training facility that she is testing for them ...and they didn't even give her a weapon to fight back with!

It's impossible to get to the middle of the maze until the 'route' appears on the maze map. Solve the sun and moon clues.

Err, there isn't one. There's only two tiny bits of water and you can swim and jump out of both of them. You can't swim across the lava, you need to raise a bridge.

Ok ... i feel like an ass ... I am 31, and was a huge fan of dizzy - and since looking into programming for the Raspberry Pi, I thought of retro games like Dizzy etc!!!

Anyway - I have done all I can "up top" ... meet all the peeps ... am hold my sugar cane, fireside bellows and an empty bottle ... I have went thru the water and via the barrell, but can't get further without dying ...

Yeps - posted in wrong thread - am being a total div ... i can only find one tunnel, and thats the one you go thru at the start of the game ... where is the other one?

Presetn in the sand by the shaip - yoiu mean under the sea?

Go to the pub and look at the sign then go to the genie, talk and then enter the month on the combination lock and he will grant you access to the next cave. Just inside there is a tunnel that goes up. Go past that and all the way right and jump over the ship into the water and up onto the sand to open the present and get the scuba. Don't forget to pick up a brown key by the rocks. You'll have to go back to town via the sea.

(if you mean the sign of the hog from the view from inside the pub!!)

I thought there was a sign inside the pub that gave the date it opened. Regardless, the answer is October.
