View Full Version : Experimenting with Dizzy music
Some of you may know that I've done a small bit of home made mixing for about a year or 2, most of it is Dizzy ;) My apologies if they sound bad on some parts
Here are 4 of them I feel impressed with.
Spellbound Dizzy (2007) (http://yolkfolk.com/site/files/media/MP3/Adz.M-SpellboundDizzy.mp3)
Crystal Kingdom Dizzy (2006) (http://yolkfolk.com/site/files/media/MP3/Adz.M-CrystalKingdomDizzy.mp3)
Dizzy The Adventurer (AKA speccy version of Magicland)(2006) (http://www.yolkfolk.com/community/Adz.M-DizzyTheAdventurer.mp3)
C64 Magicland Dizzy Skit (2005) (http://yolkfolk.com/site/files/media/MP3/Adz.M-MagiclandDizzy(DanceSkit).mp3)
I would use the Media Tag but all the mp3's would play at the same time the moment you open the thread lol
hmmm....
not really my cup of tea, but there y'go...
this reminds me actually, does anyone know where i can get a sample of the sound effect that says 'Fantasy World Dizzy'?
;)
*Ping* as if by magic :p
*ATTACHMENT REMOVED*
oh fantastic! thank you very much! :D
Like the first two the most. Third one takes a while to get going.
This was a year old experiment with the Spectrum Dizzy music :p

oops :v2_dizzy_blush: thanks for pointing it out :)
A little recent something without the Techno feel this time, It's pretty much the Amiga theme and the 8-bit theme in MOD format but different sounding.

I only played Excellent Adventures when i was younger, on my Amiga. The biggest memory i have of those games is the amazing music that never ever gets boring no matter how many times you listen to it.
I like the Spellbound Mix but i don't dig that weird voice at the start "bum bum bayo" - or whatever he is supposed to be saying. The beats are kool tho, listened to it many times. :v2_dizzy_walkman:
Would be great if you could upload the POYF one and put up the Amiga version of the music for spellbound (mixed and unmixed if possible)
Fixed the POTYF link, thanks for letting me know :)
There will be a music section on Yolkfolk.com soon but we have not yet reached the point where we get all the mp3's and other music files together yet.
And yeah I know what you mean about the Spellbound one lol, I made a lot of attempts trying to make it good and catchy, I'll see what I can do about the Amiga version at a later time
I've changed 3 of the tunes into improved version recently.

Nothing to do with me, but if you've played the Amiga version of Prince of the Yolkfolk, you might recognize the background music of this game.

If you've seen Yolkfolk.com's TID walkthrough on YouTube that has my TID mix on it in the beggining, somebody said it should be released as a hit single. :p
Maybe I should update that TID tune?
Some nice Dizzy mixes around for sure!
Goldwave is good, takes me back to my tape dumping days :v2_dizzy_happy:

Goldwave is good for everything, trimming songs, cutting vocals, merging songs, giving a good bass kick... but, it is not easy to really "remix" with Goldwave, it is really more intended for editing audio. But Nick said he was able to, and you've been using it for awhile, so you guys must have really mastered it :v2_dizzy_walkman:
Claires Kempston Joystick has just Emailed me her Fantastic Dizzy Mix, sounds to like the Treehouse level. :)
Enjoy

You'll need MODPlug Tracker to play it.
I decided to try something different recently, no It's not Treasure Island this time :p

The music is the ending theme from the C64 version of Magicland Dizzy :)

That's mind blowing my friend, I always like to see what kind of sick samples hip-hop artists are going to use next!
Well, It's been a while :p after finding ZXSpin and playing around with the sound channel volumes, here's Dizzy Down The Rapids (Spectrum).
