Hide and Seek Dizzy (HELP THREAD)

I'm a bit stuck on this game :embarassed:

I have the foot pump, vacuum cleaner, fuel and cheese.

I know I need to charge the vacuum cleaner, so I tried the fuel, but I just end up picking them both up. Also, I can't reach the mug in the little mine place - should I be able to get that, or do I need to solve something else first?

I know this isn't a help thread, but everyone else seems to be storming the game, and I don't want to be on my own in a help thread! :embarassed:

The first thing you need to do is charge the vaccum.

Look for something electrical.

Exactly were im at. trying to charge the Hoover with the lighting but Dizzy just gets zapped...

Well I've got 62 stars, found 5 Yolkfolk (missing Dora) and I've ground to a complete halt.

I can't find anything to open the cupboard with the hole in the Pirate ship.
I have a cardboard box, some cheese and every other item I've found I've used once.

Try pressing enter under the lightning with the vacum in your inventory.

re Vacuum cleaner. Allow yourself to be zapped whilst holding the vaccum cleaner.

Yeah been doing that for ages but nothing happens. (it's the first thing i tried)
When i go back to the ghost it still tells me the vacuum needs charging,

That's odd :confused: It worked for me, I don't remember needing anything else.

I just started the game again, and this time it worked. After the message about it needing charged, I think the name changed to 'uncharged vacuum cleaner', which it didn't before...

Have either of you still got a save game where it doesn't work so I can check what the problem is? It seems that maybe a bug has crept in somewhere.

not used a cardboard box and cheese and have Daisy/Dora to find.
Thought i found a plce to use chesse but no.

Of the 2 yolkfolk you need to find, only one is hiding behind a puzzle. The other is hiiden somewhere in the game world. I thought I ought to make at least one hiding place harder than the others. Don't worry you wont have to click on every blade of grass or piece of scenery. It is the sort of hiding place you might use in a real game of hide & seek.

im guessing the cheese needs to be used on the mouse hole.. some how, or with the box.. as part of the mouse puzzle.. but not found the correct place to use it yet.

maybe my brain is fried, but i actually cannot get anywhere on this.

I've found dozy, but he's asleep. I can get as far as the mine on one side, and the well on the other.

EDIT:: i got over the well by jumping from the highest ledge. not sure i'm supposed to be able to though...

but there's nothing high up on that side of the well...

EDIT:: forget it, i found a cloud, and another bug. if you jump up on the cloud, you can see the edge of the game screen above the trees.

You Should be able to jump onto the thundercloud instead of climbing to the top ledge.

Andy I've sent you a save game where the vacuum doesn't charge.

Now i'm going to play another game until that's fixed.

Several of us had that problem but it worked the second time.

I'm gonna fix the problem tonight. Hopefully I won't have to change the map so save games will still work.

How are you supposed to get back after sorting out the dragon? I've never been able to jump up the ledge that the fuel can is on so had to go via the 'chimney', but once you drop down to the ledge you can't get back up, and after getting the fuel and fixing the dragon the chimney is still open and the path back is blocked.

what is the point of the rubber duck? i can't pick it up, and it doesn't want anything.

stuck now. I have: foot pump (used), baby oil, scissors, cardboard box, 2 hoovers (used. don't ask how i got two...), fishing rod (used), bronze key (used), silver key (used), empty canister (used).

The Rubber duck..

i think you put the inflatable object in the rock crack and pump it up, which pumps up into the rubber duck in doing so you burst open the rocks.. I think thats what you do with it.

As for whats the point. why not a rubber duck? the inflatable thing had to be something and i guess a boat wouldn't be the correct size to burst open rocks.

Did you not have a rubber duck in your game.. that somehow made a key appear? bit odd if you ask me. :dizzy_wink:

must admit, I havent played this for weeks and dont remember who it was too well as I was only playing it for an hour or so before I completed it - the other extreme for me to Egyptian Tomb:v2_dizzy_happy:
