Progressed really well, up to 25 hearts but only 8 coins. Are we allowed to know how many hearts there are ?

Been down secret passage and the well, and completed the maze (that was fun!!).

Can't get pass the Hydra Dragon, don't know what the vampire needs (despite trying to give her the Vampire Cape), other items left with, saw, sword, solid chest, never ending story, protective ring, hand grabber, (megaphone and spade but have a feeling they may become apparent).

Got one item on the mining equipment, dunno what else it needs.

Given 3 eggs to saint peter (including the Golden one)

Done good up to now but at sticking point.

Lord - the vampire tells you what she wants is in her castle, but it is hidden - if i remember correctly its in just about the top right / bottom left (!) screen

I wonder if it's that egg by the 3 headed dragon, I have the sword & arrow head, but these are having no effect on it, all other items unused are, saw, solid chest, never ending story, protective ring, hand grabber, the packet of condoms, lightening rod (megaphone and spade), also Vampires item used in exchange for one item.

Stuck where I should be concentrating on now, also it is possible to get over the other side of the water area where Denzil is (if so I take I can't at present as jumping on the clouds doesn't take you that far ?)

Right.
the protective ring is what helps with wizard weirdo in the castle without it he will zap you. the Chest is used the in same room were you found it (or the next), helps you to jump back up the pilers in the tomb as a short cut. Anyway,

There a a few other items you can use as well but your main goal is..

You need to remove the Hydra have you tried using the sword? might not work because the heads grow back so like Hercules you'll have to do something to prevent the heads from growing.. what did he do??? if you don't know I'll PM you a bigger clue but you should be able to look it up ;)

The waterfall will come into effect later you'll know when you have the correct item.

got the clues but it didn't help any i've just spent another hour running around like a blue **** fly - do i need any items in there like for that lady or the thing hanging down - battered and bruised by running into walls i can't get through :dizzy_mad:

you have to click on the walls to remove them, they are slightly different than the blocker ones.

Heracles burnt the neck of the hydra once it was cut off, but i cant seem to grab any of the torches


EDIT: Aaargh - Dizzy has turned invisible on my lead save game - as soon as i press enter after 'load confirmed' he turns invisible, and all i can see is my ghost trailing me!

ANOTHER EDIT: its even worse, its ALL 3 saves !!! :(

that happened to me - just go to the game as if starting from the beginning then load your save game - hope this message isn't to late!!!!!
by the way where did you get the saw?

Dunno whats going on with those saves....but if you let the game load properly and then load your save it should work perfectly. (i just tested it myself and the same things happens if you load the save before the game starts)

Im at the point where ive managed to find where to use the saw now & got the can of worms. I know who wants them & ive found the place I think where you need to heat them up as I got a message, but you have to do something else first before can do so...so stuck on that. Gonna try what items I have.

Quiggie to use the saw, there is a clue on one of the buildings, where would you use a saw.

Frogandhat how many collectibles you up to, dunno if reached the point have to find all the coins now but im way off.

Ive got 32 hearts but only 13 coins (never gonna find the remaining 7, was assuming these would be new areas not visited yet). Be intresting to see if your similar.

By the way have you found a way into the Fast Food Cafe yet, Ive used up all the new items.

Have you got the Apple yet, as that will lead you on the path to more coins - think of an area that appears to have been just a joke but it is quite fun!:D

Oh dear were is that coin.
I can tell you it probably a hidden one.. and the most crafty hidden one was somewhere in the tomb unless you got that one.

What would you normally put in a bucket someone hinted Early on in the game the correct spot.

Try giving the condoms to the yolkfolk.. Dizzy tends to get a bit distracted from what i recall.. he just can't focus...thats why he needed your help. :P

Bugs are on the list and I'll sort them out tonight for those who haven't started playing the game yet. :dizzy_mad:

Ive tried giving the condoms to all the yolkfolk, nothing happens except some funny comments lol :dizzy_confused:


Meph dunno if this is a major bug or not, but I can't adminster the sleeping juice to Dozy, it keeps coming up with the previous message unless I have to do something with it first or use it somewhere else ??

Also the mobile shop man keeps asking for 20 coins again even though youve given them.

If you click on dozy with the item in question in your inventory it will work.. Ive just tried it and it works perfectly..


Just download the games form the site to see if they are are different to the one i have and they both work fine for me. ?
If it doesn't work send it to to me.

I can't get to work, Ive got the item in my inventory but it won't let me use it on Dozy.....dunno if it's got something to do with if your carrying more items, made it so just carrying that, then I get another message where keeps saying Dozy, Wake Up,...still won't work...I'll persevere shifting between items & going back in and retrying.

EDITS:- At last has let me, most peculiar why it wouldn't let me use the right item there to begin with, also sorry but another bug, if you jump left from the 8 of hearts you end up on top of part of the dream within a dream screen then you just go off into black blank rooms.

Oh bugger...come out and the sharp object item I found isn't in my inventory and it won't activate again so I can go back in & check for it....it's dong strange things....arghhh

Thankfully got a saved game before giving the 20 coins but still got same problem, won't work with the sleeping juice on Dozy ???

I had that as well Lord, so what I did was exitted and reloaded the game and it worked fine. When it did it, Dizzy was turned into Dozy in the real world when i reloaded as well!

theres a couple of other places where that happens as well, eg jump left just having got on the logs. One time i managed to fall on top of the tunnel with the door in it that the logs take you to!!

Theres another problem too I've just found.
If you save in the dream, exit the game and load it back you'll be Dizzy, and stuck in the dream.. pity theses wasn't found during testing.
I have no idea how to fix it however

Yes, this is what im finding, I can't get out of dream world when im lucky enough to get in with the sharp object.

Ive made a save on 39 Hearts (the last guarded by Zaks) with the item ive placed on the ground before you exit, question though, are you suppose to beable to exit where you came in with that item, when I exit it reverts back to the sleeping juice.

Dunno whether to send the save game or not as you will become Denzil, maybe best to exit and save, then see if going back in you can acquire the item again, not sure.

No ive only put it on the ground purely to have as a save game point, the problem is I can't exit with it, as soon as I exit it reverts back to the sleeping juice in my inventory, I no longer have the item.

However, it seems if I close the game down and reload, im trapped in there as you reload as Dizzy not Denzil.


EDITS: Blimey lol....talk about getting confused....its a portal...sorted, ive escaped dreamword with the item...that had me well tricked...

I've fix all the small bugs, getting stuck, falling through the floor (i tough i foxed that) deleted the trigger for the Nessus (i did the Hyde must of forgotten about this one) and correct Dozy drinking speech.

However no idea how to fix this Dozy issue.. yet.

Lord - yes you do leave where you came in
I did get a couple of bugs in that section, ie to start with i couldnt use the potion, then suddenly it worked, then when I reloaded to a save in the real world, as soon as i pressed enter Dizzy changed to Dozy.
I dont think i saved / reloaded after getting the sharp object, so I didnt get that issue, but the journey back isnt that difficult.

Thanks for the game Meph, enjoyed it, liked the Hydra Dragon and Nessus part of the game, building in some Greek Mythology & the maze was great :v2_dizzy_clapping:

A few bugs here and there but not to worry. A lot of parts of the game I wouldn't beable to code.

I don't think really we should be expecting to complete the games as quick as we do considering all the hard work that goes into making them but you enjoy the playing & challenge, and as you solve and progress you get more involved and want to keep going.

yeah months to build, days to finish, But good fun to build and see people struggle, and what people liked/responded to and didn't, im looking forward to starting the next game.. sometimes. (i quite like this idea if two collectibles)
This wasn't a large game, puzzles were quite simple..

i was worried that the fast food tribute would cause some issues with food leaving the rooms and not coming back it, it seems I've gotten that bit right. :)

And i was very proud of my worms, i couldn't resit. :v2_dizzy_wink2:

There were lots of clever bits in there Meph that I enjoyed - the Fast Food and the Dream section especially. The worms worried me as i thought they were deadly!

Good stuff, no not at all, really enjoyed it, ok got a bit confusing but glad me & frogandhat could identify them so can be looked at & where able fixed, as you say not many of us have played yet, so will work out well in that respect if yes get another release out...bound to be a few even with testing..

Well i got a updated version ready to send fixing the smaller bugs and errors but not the issue with the save yet.. im gonna see if i can solve that tomorrow. If not I'll send the one i have read and then update it again at a later date. it only causes the problem if you close the game down during that section.. best to do that part in one run. (saves will work but only if you don't close the game)

Quiggie - carry on regardless! The bits near the end are really good, clever and different. I didnt have too much bother with the bug, and both myself and LDOTY got around it anyway!
So, if you are stuck, give us a shout, wouldnt want you to miss the fun this game offers

I have noticed if you save Dozy in dreamland and then load a another save game from dizzy in the real world the game will load you as Dozy instead, it seems to load the last character you were playing.. lol (i kinda like it, it's like a hidden easter egg just a pity the other issues wont bugger off)

Hi everyone, I've just started this game this evening, and now I'm stuck!

I have: sword (I know I need to use this on the hydra), protective ring (used), vampire cape, megaphone, spade and hand grabber.

I need to solve: lyre, get down the well, get the awkward coin and heart and other things in the weirdo's place, the hydra, the lady in the cloud castle, apples for Dora, find a skeleton's hand...

I'd really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction!

WhyNot - in the castle, you should be able to push a switch if you go up as high as you can go - the switches get various platforms working, that then enable you to proceed to another area of the castle and another switch. once you have activated all the switches you should be able to get some things you need.
The vampire cape can be used on a gravestone

For the Hydra, you are right with the item, but you need to think about how the original Hydra was defeated - HINT the wounds were cauterized once heads were cut off - maybe you could do the same if the sword was hot enough?

I'm having real trouble heating up these worms. I know where I need to do it but finding a way to distract someone is proving to be very difficult. I have the following items which I have tried without joy:

poking rod, mjollnir, jesus creepers, orange juice, cross and protective ring.

The puzzles I have other than the one mentioned are:

The giant, the hungry monster, the witch, dora, the gates of hell and the devil.

as far as I know the mjollnir was owed by thor, but I have no idea how to make it magical???

I saw in an earlier post that there was a lightning rod and it seemed to have been found at an earlier stage of the game than the one I'm at. If there is a lightning rod, where is it because I've been all over the map and I haven't found it.

Until now I had been doing so well!

Great game btw meph. I prefer this to your last game and i think you've got the look spot on. I also think the puzzles are very good and not over complex which can sometimes spoil the games playability.

Yes!

The vampire tells you she wants something hidden in her realm, so you need to find it. However, it is not as easy as that of course, its hidden - behind one of the little skulls

Quiggie - there are lots of hearts hidden behind railings and other bits of scenery, i am afraid i didnt do a list for this game - i actually managed to find them all :v2_dizzy_jawdrop:
there is one that i forgot about initially that you can only get now you have been thru dreamland, and the most cunning one i thought was in the same room as the shopkeeper because it wasnt really in a traditional hiding place!

Argh! Knew it would only be a matter of time before I needed help... Really liking this game Meph, feels a bit different but not sure how! However, having just read the thread, it seems I have done things a bit of an odd way round! I managed the hydra and the jesus creepers without any problems (although I haven't made it past the big angry giant) got into the crypt and sorted the maze.

However I haven't managed to get into the castle yet or down the well and I can't catch those wriggly worms! I have given three eggs to St. Peter and have: jesus creepers, stick, by hart crane, hand grabber, newspaper and a solid chest (that I gather I can use for a short cut). I seem to have loads to do but don't think any of my items fit?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

you need another item to use with the stick on the castle door it is something that is RED ALL OVER!!!!!!

Yep remember the key to the castle door in in the lock.. but on the other side. . Dizzy explains theres a gap under the door.

Dont worry, its not too big or difficult.
Meph has thrown everything at this game, upside down, scrolling, changing size, and even an arcade game. I am surprised one of the items wasnt a kitchen sink:v2_dizzy_lol:

And i can't resist not having a bit or everything.... sadly i couldn't get the hydra to move like a dragon or use the rain/snow Fx which would i wanted within the dream (but with bubbles) i had to cut waterplay because of other costume changes Next time..!!!!

I'm stuck again! It feels like I've found a lot of new places - got past the hydra, into hell, and through Lazarus' tomb... but now I don't know what to do next - can't see any obvious way to proceed.

I've also forgotten what all the puzzles are - I think I've been playing too many Dizzy games, because I've got the puzzles and items mixed up in my head!

Anyway, puzzles I can remember are:
mining equipment
worms
giant troll
orpheus
finding a lyre for Eurydice
hungry monster
apples for Dora
Fast food area
garden (I think I know how to do this, just don't have the items yet)

I have:
a plank of wood
a broken heart
condoms (some given to Denzil)
cross
hand grabber
vampire's item
lightning rod

Any advice?

Thanks Meph! I got a bit further now - I have a can of worms and the key to Hell, so I think I know what to do next.

I like how the puzzles can be looked up, it makes it more interesting!

I can't remember, I definitely have the one above the beach and any on the way to the castle / St. Peter. I think I've been as far as I can get on clouds near the castle and above the beach - unless there is another direction?

EDIT: Aha, just found it!!!! Woohoo!

Yeah Lord Dizzy experienced that, It will work eventually.
I;ll have to keep looking for a solution for both of theses problems.. it spoils the game, :devil:

I have noticed if you save Dozy in dreamland and then load a another save game from dizzy in the real world the game will load you as Dozy instead, it seems to load the last character you were playing.. lol (i kinda like it, it's like a hidden easter egg just a pity the other issues wont bugger off)


Help! I'm totally stuck! I went into the dream and back out without saving, then (don't ask me why cos there was no reason) I loaded a previous game and am now stuck as Dozy in all three saves! In the first save (which was just before I went into the dream) I have the sleeping potion but the real Dozy won't wake up, it just gives me the "Dozy, wake up" dialog so I can't get back in. Is there anything I can do?????

You get the bucket after feeding the hungry monster. The hand grabber can be used on something that has lots of arms...

It seems always load the last character you were playing, so if you saved as Dozy and then re-loaded an old game you'll be Dozy, you can;'t get back into dreamland because the game is taking you to dozys position.. but if your him then your already there.


If it dones't work you can sent me your save game and I'll sort it out

So, I started again as I couldn't get back to being Dizzy and couldn't use the sleeping potion as Dozy. Was fun playing it through again though. Now stuck on 37 hearts... I have the one by Zaks and the one in the garden.

There's something earlier about the sleeping juice... keep trying and it should work. I think it's a bug.

It didn't happen when I played... I was able to give Dozy the Sleeping Juice straight away.

Well done Meph absolutely loved this game :v2_dizzy_thumbsup:
Liked the fact that nothing was too far away and not trekking from 1 end of the map to the other over and over again which can be a real bore in some games.
Never did use the solid chest and didnt get past mephisto but not sure if i was meant to.
A bit freaky in the dream sequence when i fell into the pit thingy and when reloading a save was suddenly dizzy and when i did complete that section couldnt get out because i was dizzy then reloaded the same save again and miraculously i was back to being dozy and managed to leave ok and complete the game.
Couple of places where i got jammed - 'greenish feeling' got stuck in the rocks and up in the tower of weirdos castle i managed to jump in the room to get the pill before the door was officially opened so couldnt get back out.
Really liked the puzzles as they didnt involve aimlessly trying everything everywhere till you hit on the right thing you either knew the mythology involved or could google it to get a clue - really excellent. :v2_dizzy_clapping:
Will look forward to the next 1.

The issue with saving in the dream is bug i can't fix, maybe one day.
The chest was used in the room your found it in to help get back out, kinda short cut and the devil has no use.. :P

Tremendous game. Really enjoying playing it. Having difficulty in finding the apple. Have Hell Gate key and Arrow head but have found uses for everything else I've come across so far. Please help.

I've managed to find all 40 hearts but the only option seems to use them to join up the big heart in which case Danny goes for a very hot ride and Daisy is still locked in the cage. This seems to be an unsatisfactory way to end things but there doesn't seem to be anything else that can be done. Is this the end of the game or am I missing something? I would appreciate a hint or two if there is more to do. Thanks

Thank you for that. I hadn't realised that the key didn't appear until the ghastly deed had been done. Game now complete and one of the most enjoyable games I've played. Looking forward to your next creation.
