I did all of the a long time ago enter the hunt in the village,bar cellar but i didn't find no bottle only a thesaurus(i don't know if i found it on the corpse or in the hut) to give to the old one:dizzy_rolleyes: as for the corpse once 4 a coin,twice for ?? i don't remember the item

Spooky - jump up to the top, and pull the chain! BUTyou may need some help, luckily you may have just found it down there, and you can use it TWICE in that area, and once in another area

Happy to be of service :) Glad you enjoyed it and well done for completing it. I didn't realise it was so hard. I might have to tone the difficulty down a bit for the next one. I might have a think about CCD today. I think it was last Easter when I began Dragon Valley Dizzy; not sure.

As 4 the puzzles:
-feed the bear(1 coin?)
-guard to back of the mansion
-ferry
-scale of justice(40 coins?)
-5 more coins
-1 more coin that i must dig(one in the x spot,old three,smearing heat,eastern village gates.....?)

So and tips what to go next should i focus on the whistle

Spooky - looks like your almost done! but you have got to get those coins.

The ones to dig up are fairly obvious.
The hardest is in the Secret Garden which is behind a small cave you have already got a coin from
By the looks of it you can also use the knife again, after all dont you want to help yourself after all the effort you have put into preparing it?
And you can use the crowbar again, twice down the well, and once where something long and thin would help get something
and the lighter again

If you look on page 17, there is a list of rooms with coins in bar 2, which are the secret garden and the governors clock

Huckleberry - it certainly is one of the most challenging games IMHO, BUT this help thread has got some way to go to beat Illusion Island's 50 odd pages!

Spooky - again, see the list on page 17, that will give you the room names where the coins are. There are none 'behind' objects in the traditional sense (ie picking up a bit of railing etc)

The 2nd banana isn't used until the very end, so don't worry for now.

OK. Of course I managed to get some new items using the scuba gear, but this part seems to be much more tricky than in other Dizzy games. A few impressions:
- In the sea (on the way to the shipwreck) there seems to be no way not to lose some energy - it's a pity since I've noticed nothing that gives energy back. And I've managed to come all the way without losing energy...
- When I go into the flooded tunnel, I don't get to the pickaxe. Similarly I can't get the crowbar (or whatever that is) in the lake where Dozy is taking one of his usual naps.
- And there are places where you can get genuinely stuck, like the lower part of that hidden cave behind the waterfall or the pool under the smaller waterfall (the one with the soggy fuse). Am I missing some extra item I need to get back out?

Don't think any of those items relate to coins going from memory & yes are about 5 places to dig, check the following, the tribe village : Eastern Gate Screen (1), A right ol tangle screen (2), jungle caves screen (3), the olde oak tree screen (4) & simmering heat screen (5).

Have you got the one from the pirate in the hammock by nudging him.

I haven't used either of the above items and am stumped with the harbour guy and Grand Dizzy (who doesn't appear to be reading anything but still writing?, I "think" I've done most others things.... Can anyone hint at a suggestion please?

Is Grand Dizzy on the Jetty or still in his hut, if he's still in the hut he needs the Written Apology Item. Once he's on the Jetty you have to action him a number of times to get this back of him to give to the Harbour Master.

The other two items, one is used on the pirate in the hammock I think from memory and the other to get the one whos always sleeping down to the Jetty (just have to find where he is).

I don't remember for sure, but I think you need all the coins in order to progress now. You'll use the grog, whistle and a few other things after you've found them all.

I have a list if you need it, but as a clue - there are 5 you can dig up, 3you get when you have lit torches, one in the Secret Garden which is hidden behind the Back of the Yard, and you can search Lester twice

OK, time to say "thank you for help"...
I finished the game with help from the Polish Dizzy forum - I just got out of rhythm at some point... You've surely heard what happened in Poland and while I never liked the President (on the contrary, I distrusted him from the time he gained huge popularity as a "tough" Minister of Justice), I am shocked too and I definitely would have preferred it never to happen. So for the first two days I spent most time reading news from Smolensk and I just got out of rhythm in the game.
Anyway, now I've finished it. The game is just great - beautiful graphics (it seems more and more Dizzy gamemakers want more than just spectrum-style graphics), very exciting and fun. I'll definitely keep waiting for the next one.
Two things I didn't like:
1. A very small detail, but still I just can't understand it: why does Dizzy "hide" behind the door-frame when entering rooms? In "real" rooms the door-frame doesn't stick away from the wall...
2. Climbing ropes, vines, ladders and so on: still Dizzy is jumping on some (usually) invisible platforms, it looks artificial... And especially on the rope ladder on the pirate ship it works soooo sloooow... Colin Page in "Summer Blast Dizzy" did a good job letting the Yolkfolk climb realistically and not just jump.
I found no use for the crucifix and the feather...:v2_dizzy_confused3:
Anyway, a great game. Can you say when, more or less, "Coral Caves Dizzy" will be ready?
PS. I can't visit the Yolkfolk main page anymore. My computer is quite old (about 10 years) and slow and some sites get hung up (or whatever it's called in English). When I choose "Main Page" from the first menu, I can see just the banner and the menu on the left, the status bar says two elements are being loaded and if I click anything, the site stops responding. :( The forum works fine.

Randomgirl - you are obviously too nice to solve this problem. You have the item you need, and you need to do something to upset him - dont his trousers look clean for a gardner?

Well I was one who was stuck on this for awhile, you need to fill the bucket with some yukky substance, search from the something stinks screen through the hole there...then give the gardener a visit.

Thanks guys I've done that now and been through the whole brilliant soap opera drama in the governor's house. Then I managed to get down the waterfall without taking the banana. Doh!

Problems: can't get past egg-eating plant, can't do anything for Dora, nothing to give bird taxi, can't get into village (assuming I have to dislodge the rocks but can't see how).

Well now I know I'm definitely missing something, because I've talked to everyone once and gone back and talked to them again. I've met someone who is missing home and someone who is bored but neither of them are interested in my wares and seemingly nobody else is either. I've even gone right back to the beach.

Thanks for that, I really seem to be struggling with this game. I think it's because I have so many items at this point, my brain is sort of overwhelmed with options.

At the moment I have just picked up the empty bottle and the land deed. Puzzles I have left to solve are: Dora, the scaffolding on the cannibal land, something for the GIT man, getting to the nest and the heavy footsteps room.

I've got 38 coins and as far as I can tell the only puzzles left are the bartender and getting into the Captain's quarters. I still have the crucifix which I think might be related to one of the last coins? And yes, I have been into the secret garden.

Confession time, I decided I'd 'go back to' GID after a quick play one day but never got round to it...

Well now I'm finally catching up on this wonderfully animated and illustrated game, and in typical fashion I'm already dead stuck after not too long. I've had a quick flick through the helpthread but the first few pages are describing things I'm nowhere near getting to yet, so rather than spoil any surprises for myself I thought I'd just post a completely new request.

My unused items are the Empty Keg, Lighter (it's too windy to light a fire) and Paper Clip. I've tried actioning them on all characters and portals I can see. The furthest I can go West is the bear's bait and fish in the sea, and East sleeping Dozy on his platform. SOS! :v2_dizzy_confused2:

I have 39 coins.
So any ideas as to where i go from here should it be find the last coin or concentrate on puzzle solving first.

Never mind its always the way wander around for days and hours and as soon as i post for help i figure something out. Just found another use for the pickaxe and the last coin and acquired the cruise ticket so moving again.

Finally finished a great game.
Really liked the coin locations much better than having to click on every single blade of grass and railing and so on.
Found it mildly irritating that the crucifix wouldnt work on the unmarked grave when it was a cross that was needed anyway and would have liked to have fed the poor hungry bear lol.

I can't seem to get any further in the game - everything I do at the moment just seems to get me coins. I think I need to do something about the Skeleton, but not sure what, and can't find the object I think I need to break my way into the tribal village past the Skeleton screen (according to the other threads).

Roland - You need something from the mine to use on the upturned boat to get something to be able to get rid of the block to the village. If you haven't opened the mine you need something from the hovel. Hope that gives you some guidance.

Right..I'm stuck again.

I have not found the bosuns whistle, or crowbar that people talk about in the thread, not have I found this "bone organ" or whatever it is. I also have not found this empty bottle that I can put the grogg into.

I used the pickaxe to open the trap door after getting into the bar cellar, this got me another coin, and opened up a short-cut to that dead explorer. The armorog is cooking, but clearly not done yet.

Can anyone help me get any further at all?

Not doing very well are you Roland ..but it is a huge game and quite complicated. Most of what you mention is in the area under the crossed palms.

According to my map if you've used the ship's wheel, then the bone organ is to the left just past a spider, but you need the symbols from Dora to solve this.

Not to give too much away here is a list of every item you need to explore this area and the items you get:
Need - goggles, spade, two axes, dynamite, fuse, detonator, lighter, sand, shipwheel, symbols, head key.

get - planks, rope, drill, honey, crowbar, whistle, cement.

Thanks for the tips - will try this out when I get round to it. There are no clues in the game that the ship's wheel is used to remove the block - the screen with the block in contains no information whatsoever about the device. A bit fustrating.

My notes on this game are still just a scrawl, but it seems that you have to dump the scaffolding in the village (two screens after where you give the banana to Denzil) until you get a drill (near the organ) then use them both to get some oil.

Grandad is right. In the village you can see the oil below the surface (from memory) and that is where you dump the scaffolding - it will tell you when it is in the right place.

Don't think you reached the area yet where you erect the scaffolding as you can't get there until you have got the 'estate keys', as per my emails.

The blanket is used later or maybe not at all (I don't remember), the lubricator is use to move something with wheels that is in your way, and you can't do anything in the escape tunnel except get the coin.

The dustpan lid, lighter, and boots can be used to get coins. The lid to get better reception, lighter to start fires in dark places, and boots by having them be caught by a hungry individual.

As for what you need to do, you have to use one of your items to climb up to the key in the trees above the armorog.

You must have found the paper clip already since that is what is used to get into the jail cell. The cement isn't found till much later.

Yeh I have got both coins from the bear, the 1 in secret garden, got the one's from shop, git, roast, lumbago, torches, spades, grog pirate, home entertainment, the clock and all the rest aswell been searching everywher for it but dont remember gettin a coin after the poster first time round... Driving me mad it seems I have been on every screen and interacted with every character

I have read through the whole thread but i'm still stuck. From what i gather i should have wooden planks by now to make a cross for the grave? I have tried to use the hatchet on anything and everything but no luck! Also think i may of got the thesaurus by accident. When i went in the gate where the shark is i continued to rise up until i arrived at a blank screen. I walked across a few blank screens and ended up on top of the boat where the dual is happening. I jumped left and ended up in the hut where the thesaurus is! But once you leave the hut it's then locked? Is this how the thesaurus in obtained? If so it's a bit strange! Any help would be fantastic as i'm really getting into the game even though it's quite frustrating at times.I know i'm about 2 years too late looking for help but if anyone can rem what i should be doing next it would be really appreciated.

Was thinking that was a bit strange for the thesaurus! The only place i can think of is cross palms and there's no planks there! Maybe i haven't dug the hole yet where the planks are? I'll keep searching here! Think i may need them planks before i can progress any further

I hadn't dug down all the way so that's why i couldn't find the planks! Got a little further, now have tea bag,sand, and spyglass. Thanks for your help! No doubt i'll be stuck again but time to explore a bit more!

Have 31 coins now and i've got down under the cellar but can't get out again. I used the ships wheel and strange symbols on the bone organ. Got as far as captains tomb. Do i need something with me to open that up? Can't get back past the slippery log. Tried sand on that but it didn't work

I think you are permanently stuck. Because of the wacky way you got the thesaurus you were able to get into the cellar long before you were supposed to. Hopefully you have an old save from before you fell down. If you do, ignore the cellar and the items you got from getting into it until you are able to get into the hut where the thesaurus was.

Yeah i have an old save so i'm lucky enough. I'll ignore the cellar for now. Not sure what i should of solved by now to of got the thesaurus in the correct manner. Items i now have that i've used are scuba gear,sharp hatchet, lens,catapult,lighter,camera,hammer, belaying pin,sharp knive,spade. Usused items: blanket,crucifix,feather,old boot,sand.Items i have because i got inot cellar before i should of been: bottle o grog,bicycle wheel, land deeds.
What i still have to do?
Get past strong current after i got past the wall?
Get further out to sea?
Do something at the top of the lighthouse?
Get down the wishing well?
Get both the keys in the jungle?
Fix the clock in the house?
Not sure if i've left anything out but have feeling there is something simple i should of done by now but haven't
Any help on what to do next would be great

Was playing earlier for a few hours and got no further. I have tried all the items trying to get to that key on the jungle floor. I'm wondering if i'm missing an item to get it? Have feeling i'm overlooking something but can't figure out what it is :v2_dizzy_blink: Tough and long game!!

Sorry, what I meant by getting one of the keys soon was that once you do the next thing you will find the item you need to get one of them.

Your going to kick yourself. Now that you have flooded the chamber go up from where the wood planks were.

Yeah i've been up there, past the spider to the slippy log. The only thing i was able to get in this area was a coin after using the lighter. Searching around and there doesn't seem to be anything else anywhere :say_no:

Edit: Used the sand on the slippy log! I had tried the sand from the other side of the log and it didn't work so i forgot about it!

Have 38 coins and can't find the last 2, from reading past posts there is one in clock but haven't been able to work out what i have to do there. I think i may have to use crowbar somewhere else aswell to maybe get a coin. Items i now have are: crowbar,hatchet,hammer,crucifix,blanket,scuba,sand wich,whistle,2nd banana,small key,lens,belaying pin,camera,lighter,bottle o grog,pickaxe,feather,spade.Any help would be great

You have the item you need to open the clock.

The crowbar is used three times to get the cement, to open the well, and to get the small key.

As for the last coin almost all of the hidden/out of the way coins are mentioned in the last two posts before your first one.

Got the one in the clock, i thought that item was used on door at scale of justice! Just 1 to go! Is there one in ship in screen called Gone to Davy Jones. There is floorboard that's different colour but nothing seems to work on it. I think i have all them ones mentioned in posts before mine. Can't rem if i got one at right ol tangle, was it after i used knife to free Dylan

Hi all am new to this not sure if this thread is still going stuck on 39 coins reading through earlier posts have gathered that I should have found a sandwich somewhere and think last coin maybe with the grogg pirate but only have emtpy bottle and have wandered round endlessly dora has asked me were pogie is but not much else seems to be going on. To get the sandwich you cut a piece off the roast.

So you used the empty bottle on the grog and you didn't get the grog? If so then you haven't finished the grog yet. That is where your last coin will be. Get the silver jug (it's in the Governor's house if you haven't found it already) and fill it with a corrosive liquid.

If you have already finished the grog then check out posts #458 and #459 almost all of the hidden or out of the way coins are talked about there.

I have moved all of the Yolkfolk down to the Jetty.

I am constantly clicking Grandizzy but he keeps telling me he is still reading the apology from the governors.

I don't know. Are you sure you have everyone there? When you are ready to go there should be nine characters waiting to go at the jetty. Not including yourself or the ticket guy.
