Start from the beginning.
And leave Fantastic Dizzy alone.

As for Fan game.. start with whats in the new easter comp.
Avoid none of them.

It's not much of a best of when Rockwart and the Doppelganger isn't on it :v2_dizzy_tongue:

I'd just try as many Dizzy games as possible, then at the end of the day you can decide which ones to pass on in the future.

If you can, try them in different formats as well; you'll find subtle differences from version to version.

I'd vote for Fantastic Dizzy. More modern and forgiving gameplay, with most of the best ideas from the series.

If you're going proper retro, I'd say Magicland Dizzy is arguably the best Speccy game. It's all a matter of opinion though!

Codemasters wont allow their games to be distributed legally. That isnt to say that there arent sites out there that you can download the games from illegally and load them into an emulator...

But that hasnt stopped some people remaking some of them in DizzyAge on this site.
I prefer the later games as I found the 'insta-death' on the early games a bit frustrating, especially on Treasure Island.
