Thought we should have one..
The Holidays are coming.

I on my last weeks work for the year, Well im guaranteed one days work, possible a 2nd (most likely) but the other days is down too weather. But come Friday unless something turns up at the last minute I'm off or the rest of the year..

Even got the tree up this today.
But not feeling very Christmas yet... i might have to watch one of the films or go into town and see if i can get into the spirit... plus it's still early yet.

(sung to the tune of 'Stop the Cavalry' - go here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOe18JcatZo) if you can't think of the tune.)

F**k The Calories

Hey, Gordon Ramsey comes over here
To say we're doing splendidly.
Having Xmas Turkey instead of pork pies
Cause apparently they’re too fatty
This turkey’s very tough, I have had enough,
I say f**k the calories.

I have had to fight every xmas night,
To get a decent bottle of whiskey
That is when I say, oh yes yet again,
I say f**k the calories

My old man waits at home,
In the Turkey fallout zone.
Wish we could be eating now,
Cocktail sausages and Pork Pies.

Dub-a-dub-a-dum-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dum-dum-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dum-dum-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Wish I had Pork Pies, for Christmas.

Bang goes another bomb into the toilet
While Ma and Pa finish the Turkey.
If I get off the bog, live to tell the tale,
I'll have some more trifle please.
If I eat too much I'll say,
I’ll say f**k the calories.

Dub-a-dub-a-dum-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dum-dum-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dum-dum-dub-a-dum
Dub-a-dub-a-dum
Wish I had Pork Pies, for Christmas.

Wish we could be eating now,
Cocktail sausages and Pork Pies.
My old man waits at home,
We’ve been waiting far too long.

Wish I had Pork Pies, for Christmas

Goddammit!!

I was lookin forward to a mouthful of juicy slow roasted chestnuts

I put em in the oven on a nice high heat, but 5 mins later they exploded all over the place - it sounded like a bombs gone off

Now Ive got bits of warm squidgy chestnut all over my oven - it's a good job my oven's being cleaned tomorrow...

Turns out I should've pricked my nuts first - ah well....

Ah, man! You've got the internet too - always check! :p

I love Roasted Chestnuts but I have never seen anyone, ever, buy any from the street vendor's they have dotted around town.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

We're waiting for Santa here. He keeps knocking at the door and at the windows and my kid (2 years old) has so much energy running around to see what presents will he get. A few days ago he managed to find one of the presents, even if it was well hidden in the wardrobe :)

I wonder what Dizzy and the yolk folks will get.

Presents stories tomorrow...

We tried to catch Santa in the act last night but we all fell asleep. So this morning we've been all busy unwrapping :)

I've got a massage hand held device from Zepter (had my eyes on it from some time) and a small lego technics box. My wife got a Sheridan's double creamy liqueur and special candies. The little one got most of the presents: lego bricks, dino wooden puzzle, "Sword in the stone" Disney cartoon movie, a big book with world maps for kids (they're in fact puzzles), a bag of small soldiers (bought from UK when we've been to Blitz), a pair of gloves. My parents got an art album and some liqueur candies. In fact everyone's got plenty of candies and chocolate :)

It was a pretty successful edition this year :)

What did you get for this Christmas?

Merry Xmas all! :v2_dizzy_happy:

Apart from all this ice that's completly put me off walking at the moment, Xmas has been pretty good :)

I've got boxes of chocoates (Cadburys, Nestle, y'know the usual ones :p).

And believe it or not I now have a Playstation 3, the real reason we got the console and because my brother wanted to get Gran Turismo 5 :p he managed the prolonge version as the full one isn't out yet.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_turismo_5

The other game that was mainly got for me is the ultimate Sega Megadrive collection. :)

I'm not really sure what other good games you can get on the PS3 yet and I know right now many PS3 games are around about 50 quid or something lol.

Other gifts I got was clothes, a small desk hoover for the laptop, that Harry Hill's TV Burp Gold 2 DVD and an electric razor. :p

Hugo Boss and some very rich organic hair products from my Special Lady: The last one was meant to be a bit of a joke (I put Royal Jelly and Coconut Milk and all kinds of crap on my hair) but it's actually pretty good! So lovely all round. The Boss smells delicious. Almost as delicious as she does ;)
A DS multiple puzzle game from my Mom, and a nice huge (now half empty) bottle of Drambuie from my Brother. Lovely stuff all round! Various choccies like gold coins (Dizzy connection! Like it!) and, of course, the traditional festive huuuuge box of Maltesers, just like every year. And just like every year I thoroughly enjoy them. The last lot I had lasted me literally months! Not sure how, they are my fave chocs. Already a quarter empty this year though. Went to my Mom's for Christmas day in the end.
Of course, for dinner I've eaten enough to kill a large animal.
Back at home now having a nice large glass of Ice Cold Beer. Lurvely!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful time!

Wow - congrats on the Laurel & Hardy DVDs - sort of thing you can watch again and again

Funny that noone got me any hair care products - maybe cos mine gets thinner each year :P

As for lego - wow!! I wish pepole still bought me that stuff. Y'know last month when I was shoppin I popped into the Lego shop in Bluewater and saw a Lego Star Wars Death Star with loads of characters and lots to play with
- The whole kit was going for ?300!!!! what sort of kid is worth that? I know I wasnt...
Theres some vids of it on Youtube - its mouthwatering...
My missus says I couldve bought it - but that would mean cuttin back on the holiday fund.... oh well

I cooked for the family this year - turned out great - especially the roasties :)

As for pressies, well the most unusual one was a garden strimmer?!? The inlaws bought me that as I keep using theirs...
I also got a Harry Hill joke book - which was worse than some of the ones you get in the crackers.

Xmas telly been Ok so far - Dr Who - Wow!!!, Gruffalo was good, now Im lookin forward to Outnumbered...

Oh and on Boxing day, I crashed my car - Probably a write-off but thats for the insurance to sort out - now its looking rather poorly outside the house. Just goes to show the lengths I go to just to to avoid driving to the in-laws....

Knock knock
Whos there?
Wenceslas
Wenceslas who?
Wenceslas bus home

ho ho dear....

Fantastic, you mean the huge long one in the box? That's a great gift! Laurel and Hardy is utterly timeless. Great stuff :)

Yeah, 21 dvds, mixture of full length and shorts.
And all have been colorized, (orignal b/w is also an option)
I already had a few films not in this set and theses still loads floating around.

But it's a bit too expensive so someone got a telling off.. lol
