Hi. Sadly i'm 41 this year but still look very young i'm pleased to say & still young enough to enjoy Dizzy!! I first played Dizzy around 1987 on the Spectrum 128. Was i hooked or what? I played them as often as i could which was every day i might add! Anyway, to cut a long ( boring ) story short here we are 20 years later. About 2 years before 1987 i had a commodore 16 briefly & played a game called rockman & a game called Mr Puniverse. I was addicted to these games but sadly i couldnt afford the thing so it had to go. You've heard the one havent ya, new baby forces sale, well that was it, i was a dad now & just couldnt afford it. He's 22 this year bless him & now i have another son whose 20 this year & a daughter whose 14. Perhaps if i'd have kept the commodore 16 i'd have only had the one!! Tee Hee! Anyway like i said around 1987 i brought the Spectrum ( which i still couldnt really afford ) & found a character called Dizzy & i was hooked BIG time. Like i say here we are 20 years later. I was trawling the net & suddenly had a thought. . . hold on why i dont i get a Commodore 16 & play the Rockman & Puniverse games? I found a website ( the attic bug & i cant recommend the guy enough ) & ordered the two games & a Commodore 16. For a few years now i've had a Commodore 64 in my loft ( which sadly wont play the Rockman & Puniverse games ) so whilst on this website i noticed he had Dizzy games for the Commodore 64, so guess what? I ordered all the Dizzy titles he had, got the 64 out of the loft &. . . . . i'm addicted again all these years later!! Got to say though i cant play on them as long as i used to do because they seem to hurt my eyes now. Never thought id hear myself saying that!! Anyway after putting Dizzy into the search engine i found this site & just had to join. Maybe mid life crisis i dont know but it looks a great site & i just couldnt help adding a bit ( a bit i hear you say ) to it. I've got to say that when i loaded the games up my kids were laughing at the tapes loading & how long thay took to load but enjoyed them nevertheless! Its funny because i've tried to tell them that when there older there kids will probably laugh at playstations & x boxes! Hard to believe but i'm sure it will happen. Cheers, Steve.
