Story:

Dizzy, Daisy and the rest of the yolkfolk clan were on an outing to
the Yolkfolk land of Yonda. The weather was lovely & the day was being
enjoyed, so much so that Zaks decided they were enjoying it just that
bit too much.

Zaks therefore thought he would do something about that & created out
of nowhere a freak storm to occur. Dark threatening clouds had formed
and a sudden heavy downpour ensued with some strong winds. Although it
didnt last too long it saturated part of the land, swamping the ground
so much so it caused a landslide. Although Dizzy was quick to take evasive
action & avoid poor Daisy went down with the landslide and became trapped.
Dizzy cant reach her and has to find a means to rescue her from the swamped
landslide.

v1.00 Initial release 27/06/09
v1.01 New Colour Title Screen, attract mode added on title screen, few tweaks here
& there. Dizzy characters are now in colour in the game with Dizzy himself wearing
his lovely red boxing gloves & walking boots 18/09/09

Icon added to executable file where players can make a shortcut, name & use/drag onto
their desktop to quick load the game 05/12/09

yep the swampy bit got me as well.

By the way one of the rooms in the castle is titled 'press action to start'
and few items get lost in the background (yellow key in front front railings)

so far some excellent ideas but i haven't got very far yet, been underground and found a few things.

Musics alittle bit odd..

Yes its just the default start room with the DizzyAge logo, I was gonna block it off but I thought players would realise it was that, it doesnt affect the gameplay, just advertises Dizzyage. The items havent been made opaque, just will have to be careful where you place them :v2_dizzy_tongue2:

Glad your liking the ideas, deliberately tried to be different with the music, you will either like or not but I didnt want to keep with the standard ones you always have, that way is an element of surprise.

About the "press action..." room, you can change it's title if you want.

Like at the beginning of MainMenu() (in menus.gs) you can set it to "press action..." and at the end of the function, to whatever other name you want. This covers both the case when user starts a new game or loads a saved one.

Anyway, if you find bugs and repair them, or you do any improvements, just send me the new version and I'll upload it on DizzyAGE.

And when you feel it's time, send me the walkthrough to post on the game's page. But for now, let people struggle a bit :)

Just downloaded and played a wee bit - looks great! I like the music (although I usually turn the music off in Dizzy games, just cos I like to listen to podcasts while I play - makes me feel productive).

Haven't got very far, but I like the look of the game, and can't wait to use the cannon I found!

Thanks for a new Dizzy game!

More new games! :)

I haven't had time to play this properly yet, but I have to say I like the music- I lingered on the title screen, listening to 'Elvira' and singing 'Giddy up a um-poppa um-poppa mow mow' :v2_dizzy_blush:

Anyway, the game looks good! Hi ho Silver, and away!

I forgot to make my say on the game. :embarassed:

Like Jamie, I lost a life stright away with a marsh pit :p The music I didn't expect at all but made a nice change, and the detail with most of the rooms I liked too :)

So far I have 15 coins, just retrieved a lock pic, A wood axe, a cutting implament, hook handle and cell key c.

I'm sorry I couldn't upload the game onto Yolkfolk :( It turns out the site's file manager isn't working at all, meaning I can't upload any zip files until it gets fixed.

Hello :v2_dizzy_smile:

Well, I've played this tonight for a couple of hours before bed... No time to read now though 'cos I got sucked in! (Yes, to those damn swamps as well as the game :v2_dizzy_cry:)

So far I'm really enjoying it, I think it's great for your first foray into a full length Dizzy Adventure.

I do like the music, sort of... The first tune, where you're talking to Daisy is great, as is the rain and the flowing mud... That first impression is really good, really quality. But the other in game tunes (of which so far I think I've experienced about four) all start to grate on me, especially the one where you first go underground. It's very jolly too, for a 'just dug myself into a very large hole' piece. However it is nice, in Fantastic Dizzy style, to have the music location dependant. I only wish there was more of that initial tune.

But as for the adventure itself, I have enjoyed it so far....
I have >> collected the hook, DIY kit, Key C, spade, axe, pick, lock-pick, girder, cutting implement... I think that's it! Also I have currently traveled inside the cave, the Yonda village, the church, the park, the lighthouse, bits of the castle...Here's hoping I can get further and actually finish it eventually!

Thanks for a fun game, I'll be sure to rate it when I've played it more. But overall impressions for your first ever DizzyAGE game are really good.

Hi Mataues,

Glad to see you appreciate the initial tune to the game with the rain & flowing swampy mud for the opening sequence. Without spoiling owt but will say you do get to hear the effects again towards completion of the game. Also will be another tune which I like the most of all actually.

Anyway thanks for playing & the comments and hope you really enjoy :v2_dizzy_happy:

Thanks Adz, that's ok, the issue can't have been too noticeable seen as nobody mentioned it but when I noticed myself all this time after that is thought I better amend it.
